    							Bulb Replacement

    REAR COURTESY LIGHT (5 door models)
    Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver into the 
    indent on the side of the lens and prise the lens 
    from the light unit, then pull the bulb from the 
    clips.
    COURTESY LIGHT (3 door models)
    Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver where 
    arrowed and carefully prise the lens from the 
    light unit, then pull the bulb to remove.

    							Bulb Replacement

    GLOVEBOX LIGHT
    Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver 
    (preferably with a short handle, due to limited 
    access) into the indent (arrowed in illustration) 
    on the narrow side of the light unit, and 
    carefully prise the unit from the glovebox panel. 
    Remove the bulb from the clips.
    LOADSPACE LIGHT
    Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver into the 
    indent on one of the narrow sides of the lens 
    (see arrow on illustration) and carefully prise 
    the unit from the loadspace trim panel. Push 
    and twist the bulb to remove.H3482

    							Bulb Replacement

    VANITY MIRROR LIGHT*
    Using a small, flat-bladed screwdriver as a lever 
    (see inset), prise the lens and mirror from the 
    light unit. Spring the bulbs free from the 
    connectors to remove.

    Recommendations for all climates and conditions.
    NOTE: Recommended oils are complete in themselves and additives should not be used.
    NOTE: It is essential to change oil much more frequently if the vehicle is operated under severe 
    conditions, especially if deep wading is carried out.
    Engine oil - 2.5 litre - V6
    Use a 0w/40, 5w40 or 5w/50 oil meeting specification API service level SJ, or ACEA A3 synthetic, 
    and having a viscosity band recommended for the temperature range of your locality.
    Engine oil temperature ranges
    0w/40 will protect from -22
    oF (-30oC) to 122oF (50oC).
    5w/40 will protect from -22
    oF (-30oC) to 122oF (50oC).
    5w/50 will protect from -22
    oF (-30oC) to 122oF (50oC).
    Engine oil brands
    Automatic gearbox
    Use Land Rover LRN 402 or Texaco ATF N402.
    Intermediate Reduction Drive
    Use Land Rover LRN7590 or API GL5 + MT1 fully synthetic - 75w/90R
    Rear Differential 
    Use Land Rover LRN7590 or API GL5 fully synthetic - 75w/90R.
    Power steering
    Use Land Rover LRN2261 or ATF Dextron III.

    Brake reservoir
    Shell ESL Donax EB brake fluid or any brake fluid having a minimum boiling point of 500oF 260oC 
    and complying with FMVSS 116 DOT4.
    Windshield washers
    Windshield washer fluid.
    Engine cooling system
    Use Castrol Anti-freeze SF or Texaco XLC, or any ethylene glycol based anti-freeze (containing no 
    methanol) with only Organic Acid Technology (OAT) corrosion inhibitors. Use one part anti-freeze to 
    one part water for protection down to -33
    oF (-36oC).
    Air conditioning compressor oil
    Nippondenso ND-8
    Air conditioning refrigerant
    R134A
    Inertia reel seat belts
    DO NOT LUBRICATE. These components are lubricated for life during manufacture.
    Battery terminals
    Petroleum jelly. DO NOT use silicone grease.
    Door locks
    Use door lock and latch lubricant, Part Number VWN 16075.
