5Grasp the handle on each side of the
transfer belt (A), then lift it up and out of
the printer.
Caution
Do not touch the new transfer belt surface. Oil
from your hands and other contaminates can
damage the transfer belt, reducing print
quality and the life of the transfer belt.
6Remove the new transfer belt from its
packaging.

belt in the printer.

WINDING JAMMedia is jammed in the image
transfer area.Remove media from the paper path.
Open and close the top cover to
reset the printer, then click [On Line]
to resume printing.

Clearing Manual Feed Input Jams
The printer message 13.3 CLEAR MANUAL JAM
indicates media is jammed in the manual feed
input paper path.
1Remove any media from the manual feed
input.
2Push the rear feed unit back away from
the printer and remove any paper or other
media from the printer.
3Push the rear feed unit up until it is flush
with the back of the printer.

the top cover of the printer and check for
any media inside the printer.

Clearing Rear Tray Input Jams
The printer message 13.6 CLEAR REAR TRAY
INPUT JAM or 13.7 CLEAR REAR TRAY PAPER
JAM indicates media is jammed in the rear
input tray pickup area.
1Open the top cover on the rear input tray.
2Remove any media from the rear input
tray.
3Rotate the top of the rear feed unit away
from the printer and remove any paper or
other media from the printer.

4Return the rear feed unit to its upright
position.
5Reload the paper in the rear tray.
See Chapter 2 for more information on
loading paper.
6Press the top release button, and open the
top cover of the printer.  Remove any
media jammed inside the printer. 
7Close the cover to clear the media jam
message.
If a paper jam message still appears on
the printer display, check other areas for
jammed media.

Clearing Paper Pickup Area Jams
The printer message 13.4 CLEAR FRONT TRAY
INPUT JAM indicates media is jammed in the
front input tray pickup area.
1Firmly grip the center of the paper tray
and pull it outward from the printer.
2Remove any jammed sheets from the area
where the input tray was inserted.
3If the jam cannot be removed, press the
top release button, then open the top
cover.
Caution
Remove all jewelry and watches before
continuing. Touching the print drum with
these items can scratch the print...
