Clearing Paper Pickup Area Jams The printer message 13.4 CLEAR FRONT TRAY INPUT JAM indicates media is jammed in the front input tray pickup area. 1Firmly grip the center of the paper tray and pull it outward from the printer. 2Remove any jammed sheets from the area where the input tray was inserted. 3If the jam cannot be removed, press the top release button, then open the top cover.
