Selecting Manual Feed
Manual feed is available only when the optional Rear Feed Unit is installed
on the printer.
1Click [On Line] until the On Line indicator is no longer lit.
2Click [Menu].
PCL (or PS) PRINT MENU appears on the first line of the printer display.
3Click [Item] until MANUAL FEED appears on the second line of the printer
display.
4Click [+] to select MANUAL FEED=ON.
5Click [Enter] to save your selection.
An asterisk (*) appears to the right of your selection.

Selecting an Output Bin
1Click [On Line] until the On Line indicator is no longer lit.
2Click [Menu].
PCL (or PS) PRINT MENU appears on the first line of the printer display.
3Click [Item] until OUT BIN appears on the second line of the display.
4Click [+] to select your output bin.
UPPER - refers to the face down, correct order output bin.
LOWER - refers to the face up, reverse order output bin.
5Click [Enter] to save your selection.

7Click [On Line] to return the printer on line.
8If 10 PRESS RESET TO ACTIVATE appears on the printer display and you want
your changes activated immediately, click [Reset].
Resetting the printer at this point activates your selection and clears the
page buffer. The printer automatically returns on line after the printer is
reset.
9If you did not reset the printer, click [On Line] to return the printer on line.
The On Line indicator lights. Changes to the control panel will not take
effect until all data...

Switching Printer Personalities
The SYS selection is only available when a second personality, such as the
PostScript language, is installed on the printer.
1Click [On Line] until the On Line indicator is no longer lit.
2Click [Menu] twice.
PCL or PS CONFIG MENU appears on the first line of the printer display.
3Click [Item] until SYS appears on the second line of the display.
4Click [+] to make your selection.
AUTO - enables switching by file type or PJL description.
PCL - selects PCL as the printer...

Setting the I/O Timeout
1Click [On Line] until the On Line indicator is no longer lit.
2Click [Menu] twice.
PCL or PS CONFIG MENU appears on the first line of the printer display.
3Click [Item] until I/O TIMEOUT is displayed on the second line of the display.
4Click [+] to set the timeout between 5 and 300 seconds.
Click [-] to view the previous value. Press and hold [+] or [-] to scroll through
the possible values for timeout. The default is 15 seconds.
5Click [Enter] to save your selection.

Setting the Power Save Mode
1Click [On Line] until the On Line indicator is no longer lit.
2Click [Menu] twice.
PCL or PS CONFIG MENU appears on the first line of the printer display.
3Click [Item] until PWRSAVE is displayed on the second line of the display.
4Click [+] to set the time between 15 minutes (15MIN) and 3 hours (3HRS), or
OFF.
Click [-] to view the previous value. Press and hold [+] or [-] to scroll through
the possible values for power save mode. The default is 60 minutes (60MIN).
