    Adjusting Control Panel Position You can adjust the position of the control panel to make it easier to use.
    • To raise the control panel, lift it up from the bottom.
    • To lower the control panel, squeeze the release bar and gently push the panel down.
    Caution: Do not lower the control panel without first squeezing the release bar or you may damage
    your product.

    Changing LCD Screen Language You can change the language used on the LCD screen.
    1. Press the home button, if necessary.
    2. Press the left or right arrow buttons to select Setupand press the OKbutton.
    3. Press the up or down arrow buttons to select Printer Setupand press theOKbutton.

    Languageand press the OKbutton.
    5. Press the up or down arrow buttons to select a language and press the OKbutton.
    6. Press the home button to exit.

    Turning Off Control Panel Sounds You can turn off the sound heard when you press buttons on the control panel.
    1. Press the home button, if necessary.
    2. Press the left or right arrow buttons to select Setupand press the OKbutton.
    3. Press the up or down arrow buttons to select Printer Setupand press theOKbutton.
    4. Select Soundand press the OKbutton.
    5. Select the Offsetting and press the OKbutton.
    6. Press the home button to exit.

    The Power Off and Sleep Timers The product enters sleep mode or turns off automatically if it is not used for a period of time. You can
    adjust the time period before power management, but increasing the time reduces the products energy
    efficiency.

    Changing the Power Off and Sleep Timer Settings From the Control Panel You can use the products control panel to change the time period before the printer turns off
    automatically.
    1. Press the home button, if necessary.

    1. Right-click the product icon in the Windows taskbar and select Printer Settings.
    2. Click the Maintenance tab.
    3. Click the Printer and Option Information button.

    Power Off Timersetting.
    5. Click Send.
    6. Select the time period you want as the Sleep Timersetting.
    7. Click Send.
    8. Click OKto close the open program windows.

    1. Do one of the following:•Mac OS X 10.6/10.7/10.8: In the Apple menu or the Dock, select System Preferences. Select
    Print & Fax orPrint & Scan, select your product, and select Options & Supplies. SelectUtility
    and select Open Printer Utility.
    • Mac OS X 10.5: In the Apple menu or the Dock, select System Preferences. SelectPrint & Fax,
    select your product, and select Open Print QueueorPrint Queue. Select Utility.
    2. Select Printer Settings.
