Uninstalling the Printer Software To uninstall the printer driver, follow the steps below. 1. Turn on your computer and insert the printer software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The Epson printer software disk opens automatically. 2. Find the English folder, and double-click it. 3. Double-click the Printer Driver folder. 4. Double-click the EPSON STYLUS PRO 4400 or EPSON STYLUS PRO 4800 folder, and Disk 1 folder in it. 5. Double-click the Installer icon, and follow the on-screen instructions to open the Installer dialog. 6. Select Uninstall from the pull-down menu at the top left, and click the Uninstall button at the bottom right.

Accessing the Page Setup dialog To access the Page Setup dialog, click Page Setup on the File menu of your application. Accessing the Utility dialog To access the Utility dialog, double-click the EPSON Printer Utility icon in the Applications folder in Macintosh HD (default setting). Custom Paper Size Displays the paper size settings. Summary Displays the list of current setting items. Format for Select a desired printer. Note: Always match the Format for setting in the Page Setup dialog with the Printer setting in the Print dialog; otherwise, the data may not be printed correctly. Paper Size Select a paper size and a print area that you want to use. For Mac OS X 10.2.0 to 10.2.3 users, the print area is listed after Paper Size in the Paper Size list. For Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later users, the print area is listed when you click the arrow mark next to the Paper Size you have selected.
176Printing with Mac OS X When you select a paper size that supports a print area other than Standard, you can select the print area. If you cannot select the print area, it is set to Standard. The following table lists the print areas you can select. Printer Description Standard Prints on cut-sheet paper with 14-mm bottom margin, and 3-mm top, left and right margins. Maximum Prints on cut-sheet paper with 3-mm margins in four directions. Borderless (Auto Expand) Prints data enlarged on cut-sheet paper with 3-mm top margin, 14-mm bottom margin, and 0-mm left and right margins. Borderless (Auto Expand, Maximum)Prints data enlarged on cut-sheet paper with 3-mm top and bottom margins, and 0-mm left and right margins. Roll Paper Prints on roll paper with 3-mm margins in four directions. Roll Paper - Borderless (Auto Expand)Prints data enlarged on roll paper without margins. Roll Paper - Banner Prints multi-page data on roll paper continuously with 3-mm left and right margins and 0-mm top and bottom margins. Borderless (Retain Size) Prints data on cut-sheet paper with 3-mm top margin, 14-mm bottom margin, and 0-mm left and right margins, while retaining the ratio of the original size. Borderless (Retain Size, Maximum) Prints data on cut-sheet paper with 3-mm top and bottom margins and 0-mm left and right margins, while retaining the ratio of the original size.

Copies & Pages You can make the appropriate Copies, Collated, Pages settings that you want to use for printing.

Collated To make print order setting, select Collated to print one complete document set at a time when printing multiple copies. Pages To make the Pages setting, select either All or From and to. If you select From and to, enter the first page of the appropriate range of pages in the From text box and the last page in the to text box. Layout You can make the appropriate Pages per Sheet, Layout Direction, and Border settings that you want to use for printing. Note: Layout is the standard feature of Mac OS X. 180Printing with Mac OS X Pages per Sheet You can print multiple pages of your data on a single piece of paper. You can select from 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16. Layout Direction You can specify the order in which the pages will be printed on the sheet of paper. Border You can print a border around the pages printed on each sheet. You can select from None, Single hairline, Single thin line, Double hairline, or Double thin line. Output Options You can print your data as a file if you click the Save as File check box, and select its format from the Format pull-down menu.
