361 With the AC Adapter Kit ACK-E4 (sold separately), you can connect the camera to a household power outle t and not worry about the remaining battery level. 1Connect the DC Coupler’s plug. Connect the DC Coupl er’s plug to the AC adapter’s DC terminal. 2Connect the power cord. Connect the power cord as shown in the illustration. After using the camera, unplug the power plug from the power outlet. 3Insert the DC Coupler. Insert the DC Coupler firmly all the way, and turn the release handle as shown by the arrow. Using a Household Power Outlet Since the DC Coupler is not wate r-resistant, do not get it wet. Do not connect or disconnect the po wer cord or DC Coupler while the camera’s power switch is set to < 1/R>. COPY
362 The date/time (backup) battery maintains the camera’s date and time. Its service life is approx. 5 years. If the date/time is reset when camera is turned on, follow the procedure below to replace the backup battery with a new CR2025 lithium battery. The date/time/zone setting will also be reset, so be sure to set the correct date/time/zone (p.40). 1Set the power switch to . 2Remove the battery. The backup battery is on the ceiling of the battery compartment. 3Remove the back-up battery cover. Use a small screwdri ver to loosen the screw and remove the cover. Be careful not to lose the cover and screw. 4Remove the battery. Stick a piece of tape to the battery and take out the battery. 5Install a new back-up battery. The plus side of the battery must face up. 6Attach the cover. Replacing the Date/Time Battery (+) For the date/time battery, be sure to use a CR2025 lithium battery. COPY
