2 Thank you for purchasing a Canon product. The EOS 5D Mark II is a high-performance, digital SLR camera with a full-frame (approx. 36mm x 24mm) CMOS sensor with 21.10 effective megapixels. Other features include DIGIC 4, high-precision and high- speed, 9-point AF (plus six Assist AF points); approx. 3.9 fps continuous shooting; Live View shooting; and Full HD (Full High- Definition) movie shooting. The camera is highly re sponsive to any shooting situation at anytime, provides many features for dema nding shoots, and expands shooting possibilities with system accessories. Take a Few Test Shots to Fa miliarize Yourself with the Camera With a digital camera, you can immediately view the image you have captured. While reading this manual , take a few test shots and see how they come out. You can then better understand the camera. To avoid botched pictures and a ccidents, read the Safety Warnings (p.242,243) and Handling Precautions (p.12,13). Testing the Camera Before Using and LiabilityAfter shooting, playback and ch eck whether the image has been properly recorded. If the camera or memory card is faulty and the images cannot be recorded or down loaded to a personal computer, Canon cannot be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
