Note: To select a type (labelyf for a phone, email address, or postal address (such as Mobile, Home, 
Birthday, etc.yf, tap the type to the left of the field.
Note: To add more phone numbers, email addresses, etc., tap Add new on the right side of the 
entry field.
Delete a Contact
You can delete a contact from the contacts details page.
 1. From home, tap Contacts .
You will see the Contacts list.
 l You can also access contacts directly from the Contacts shortcut or the apps list. From 
home, tap Contacts , or if there’s no shortcut, tap Apps  > Contacts .
 2. Tap a contact to view its details.

The contact’s detailed listing appears.
 3. Tap Menu  > Delete.
 4. Tap OK.
The contact is deleted.

Share a Contact
You can quickly share contacts using Bluetooth, email, or Gmail.
 1. From main menu, tap Contacts .
You will see the contacts list.
 2. Tap a contact to display it, and then tap  > Share.
You will see the Share contact via menu.
 3. In the Share contact via menu, select a method:

 l Gmail to send the information as a Gmail attachment. Address the message, add a subject 
and a message, and then tap Send. See Create and Send a Gmail Message for details.
 l Bluetooth to send the information via Bluetooth. See Bluetooth for information on pairing 
and sending via Bluetooth.
 l Drive to send the information via Drive.
 l Email to send the information as an email attachment. If prompted, select an email account. 
Address the message, add a subject and a message, and then tap Send. See Compose and 
Send Email for details on sending email.
 l Wi-Fi Direct to send the information via Wi-Fi.
 4. Complete the required steps as prompted for the selected method.
The selected contact will be shared.
Import Contacts
Your tablet offers a couple of options for importing contacts from installed SD memory cards or 
external devices via USB.
Before Importing Contacts from an SD Card
You will need to have installed an SD card with previously backed up contacts information into your 
tablet before you can import contacts. See SD Card for SD card information.

Import Contacts from an SD Card or Storage
 1. From home, tap Apps  > Contacts .
You will see the contacts list.
 2. Tap Menu  > Import/export.
You will see the Import/export contacts menu.
 3. Tap Import from storage.
 4. Select a destination for the imported contacts.
 5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the import.
The contacts are imported and stored in the selected account.
Back Up Contacts
If you are saving contacts to an account that does not automatically back them up via the Cloud, you 
can manually back them up from an SD card or Storage for re-import if needed.
Before Backing Up Contacts to an SD Card
You will need to have installed an SD card with previously backed up contacts information into your 
tablet before you can back up your contacts. See SD Card for SD card information.
Back Up Contacts to Your SD Card
 1. From home, tap Apps  > Contacts .

 2. Tap Menu  > Import/export.
 
You will see the Import/export contacts menu.
 3. Tap Export to storage.
 4. Select the contacts you want to import and then tap .
 5. Select path as SD card, tap OK to confirm.
 6. Tap OK again to confirm the export.
The contacts are exported and saved to the installed SD card.

Messaging and Internet
With wireless service and your tablet’s messaging and data capabilities, you have the opportunity to 
share information through many different channels and accounts, including Gmail (Googleyf, 
personal and corporate email, text, social networking accounts, and Hangouts.
Gmail
Use Google’s Gmail service and your Google Account to send, receive, and manage your Gmail 
messages. Before using Gmail, you must register a Google (Gmailyf Account on your tablet. See 
Google Account for details.
Gmail Cautions
Gmail is handled as email from a PC. Restricting email from PCs on your tablet prevents your 
tablet from receiving Gmail.
Create and Send a Gmail Message
Use your tablet to create and send Gmail messages.
 1. From home, tap Apps  > Gmail .
The Gmail inbox opens.
 2. In the inbox, tap  to compose a new Gmail message.
The Gmail composition window opens.
 3. Enter the message recipient(syf, subject, and message, and then tap Send .

The Gmail message is sent.
Gmail Composition Options
 n Adding Cc/Bcc: In the mail composition window, tap  near To bar, and then add recipients.
 n Attaching Pictures or Videos: In the mail composition window, tap  > Attach file. Locate 
and then tap the picture or video you want to attach.
 n Save as a Draft (Send Lateryf: While composing your message, tap Menu  > Save draft, or 
tap Back  to save as a draft. 
 n Delete Mail Being Composed: In the mail composition window, tap Menu  > Discard.
Note: To view your draft email messages, tap   and then tap Drafts.
Note: To view your sent messages, tap   and then tap Sent.
Check Received Gmail Messages
Your tablet allows you to access, read, and reply to all your Gmail messages.
Open New Gmail Messages
When new Gmail arrives, you will see  in the status bar.
 1. Drag the status bar down to display the notifications panel.

 2. Tap the new message from the notifications panel.
The new Gmail message opens.
 l If you have two or more new Gmail messages, tapping the notification opens the Gmail 
inbox.
Open Gmail Messages
You can also read and reply to all your Gmail messages from the Gmail inbox.
 1. From home, tap Apps  > Gmail .
The Gmail inbox opens.
 2. Tap the message thread you want to view.

The message thread opens, with the newest message displayed.
Options When Reviewing Gmail Messages
 n Replying to Gmail Messages: With the Gmail message open, tap Reply , compose your 
reply message, and tap Send .
 l To reply to all, tap or tap Options  > Reply all.
 n Forwarding Gmail Messages: With the Gmail message open, tap, enter a recipient and an 
additional message, and tap Send .
Use Gmail Labels
Gmail saves all mail in one box, but you can add labels that allow you to sort your Gmail conversation 
threads. For example, when a new thread starts with a received mail, the label "Inbox" is 
automatically added to the thread. By then adding the label "travel," all threads with "travel" are 
shown in a list.
 1. From home, tap Apps  > Gmail .
The inbox opens.
 2. Touch and hold a conversation thread to add a checkmark to it, and then tap Options  > 
Change labels.
