Removing the Document Feeder and Scanner
1. Remove the document feeder and scanner, pa ck them separately from the rest of the 
system.
2. Disconnect the cable between the do cument feeder and the scanner.
3. Lift the document feeder.
a.Pinch the hinges, and then lift the document feeder away from the document glass.

b.
Disconnect the cable between the scanner and the rest of the system. 
c. Using a pen, slide both the sc anner latches to the unlocked  position, and then slide the 
scanner back and lift it away from the system.
d. Pack the scanner separately fr om the rest of the system.
4. Fold the stabilizers in toward the system.

5.
Use the hand holds on each si de of the system to lift it.
Caution: If the system has an optional Tray 3  or 4, lift the system off the trays.
Packing the Printer
Repack the system using the original packing material and boxes or a Xerox repackaging kit. 
Additional instructions for repack ing the system are provided in the repackaging kit. If you do 
not have all the original packaging, or are una ble to repackage...

To clear a jam at the exit cover:
1.Lift the control panel.

Pull the jammed paper slowly out of the syst em. Confirm that all paper fragments are 
removed.
5. If you did not find paper in Step 4, lift the paper guides.
6. Remove any jammed paper.

If you did not find paper in the pr evious steps, follow these steps.
a. Pull up the latch on the front of th e system to open the front cover.
b. Pull the jammed paper slowly out of the syst em. Confirm that all paper fragments are 
removed.
