    							Phonebook
    Y ou can add 3,000 names (16 characters max.)
    and phone numbers (24 digits max.) to the
    phonebook, and assign each phonebook entry to
    the desired group (page 32). The following
    groups are available:
    – Group 1:  “Home ”*1
     (default)
    – Group 2:  “Cell 1 ”*1
    – Group 3:  “Cell 2 ”*1
    – Group 4-9: You can change the group name for each group.
    *1 For groups 1-3, the group names cannot be changed.
    Important:
    R All entries can be shared by the base unit and
    any registered handset.
    R You can copy phonebook entries from a
    Bluetooth cellular phone to the unit’s phonebook
    (page 52). Adding phonebook entries

    G
     roups can help you find entries in the phonebook
    quickly and easily. You can change the group
    name for groups 4-9 (“Friends”, “Family”, etc.). By
    assigning different ringer tones for different groups
    of callers, you can identify who is calling (ringer
    ID), if you have subscribed to Caller ID service. Changing group names/setting ringer ID

     his feature allows you to dial phone numbers in
    the phonebook while you are on a call. This
    feature can be used, for example, to dial a calling
    card access number or bank account PIN that you
    have stored in the phonebook, without having to

    R If you have rotary/pulse service, you need to
    press  * (TONE) before pressing  MF N   on

    When adding entries to the phonebook, we
    recommend adding  * (TONE) to the beginning
    of phone numbers you wish to chain dial
