    13.3 Limpieza de la tolva del papel
    Limpie la tolva del papel dentro de la unidad cuando aparezca una 
    línea o un patrón de suciedad en la parte superior o inferior del 
    papel de impresión.
    1APAGUE el interruptor de corriente.
    2Empuje hacia arriba la palanca para abrir la cubier ta 
    izquierda (
    1) y ábrala (2).
    Nota:
    LNo toque los rodillos (4).
    3Limpie la tolva del papel (5) con una toalla o pañuelo de 
    papel.
    Nota:
    LNo toque ni frote vigorosamente la cinta negra (6).
    4Cierre la cubierta izquierda.
    5ENCIENDA el interruptor de corriente.
    Atención:
    LLa unidad del fusor (3) se calienta durante 
    la impresión o inmediatamente después de 
    ésta. Espere hasta que la unidad del fusor se 
    enfríe antes de sacar el papel atascado.

    Lista de pruebas de color
    La unidad imprimirá una lista de pruebas de color que consiste en 
    líneas negras, cian, magenta y amarillas para que usted pueda 
    determinar cuál cartucho del tambor tiene el problema.
    Si alguna de estas líneas tiene una calidad de impresión deficiente 
    (es decir, tiene manchas o puntos o líneas borrosas), pruebe a 
    hacer lo siguiente para resolver el problema.
    Solución 1: Limpiar el cartucho del tambor
    Importante:
    LEsta solución utiliza al menos 3 páginas de papel de 
    impresión. Asegúrese de que haya suficiente papel de 
    impresión instalado en la bandeja normal de entrada de 
    antemano.

    Solución 2: Cambiar el cartucho del tambor
    LSi la línea negra tiene una calidad de impresión deficiente, 
    cambie el cartucho del tambor monocromático.
    LSi la línea cian, magenta o amarilla tiene una calidad de 
    impresión deficiente, cambie el cartucho del tambor de color.
    LImprima de nuevo la lista de pruebas de color. Si el problema 
    persiste, comuníquese con nuestro personal de servicio.

    Recomendaciones para el uso del papel:
    LRecomendamos que pruebe el papel (especialmente el papel

    o emita humos peligrosos cerca de los 200
    °C (392 °F), 
    como el papel vitela. Estos materiales pueden transferirse

    LCiertos tipos de papel están diseñados para imprimirse sólo 
    por un lado. Pruebe a imprimir en el otro lado del papel si no 
    está satisfecho con la calidad de la impresión o si se producen 
    atascos.
    LPara realizar una alimentación adecuada del papel y obtener 
    la mejor calidad de impresión, recomendamos la utilización de 
    papel de grano largo.
    LNo utilice al mismo tiempo papeles de diferentes tipos o 
    grosores. Esto puede causar atascos de papel.
    LNo utilice papel impreso desde este equipo para impresión a 
    doble cara con otras copiadoras o impresoras. Esto puede 
    causar atascos de papel.
    LPara evitar que se doblen, no abra los paquetes de papel 
    hasta que vaya a utilizarlo. Almacene el papel sin utilizar en el 
    paquete original, en un lugar fresco y seco.
    Vida del tóner
    La vida del tóner depende de la cantidad de contenido en el 
    documento impreso. La siguiente es la relación aproximada entre 
    la cober tura y la vida del tóner para el reemplazo del car tucho de 
    tóner. La vida del tóner varía con el uso real.
    LEl siguiente número de hojas y muestras de imágenes es para 
    cuando se imprime con un sólo color. Como la impresión en 
    color es de hecho una combinación de varios colores, el 
    número de hojas variará dependiendo del contenido del 
    documento original.
    Nota:
    LLa cober tura cambia con la profundidad, el grosor y el tamaño 
    de los caracteres.
    LSi enciende la función de ahorro de tóner, el car tucho del

    Vida del tambor
    Es necesario reemplazar el car tucho del tambor con regularidad. 
    Existen varios factores que determinan la vida real del tambor, 
    como la temperatura, la humedad, el tipo de papel y cuánto tóner 
    se utiliza para el número de hojas por trabajo de impresión. La 
    vida máxima del tambor es de aprox. 10,000 hojas. El número real 
    de hojas que imprimirá su tambor puede ser significativamente 
    inferior que este cálculo si su unidad se usa con frecuencia para 
    imprimir cantidades pequeñas de hojas por trabajo. Debido a que 
    no es posible controlar muchos de los factores que determinan la 
    vida real del tambor, no podemos garantizar la cantidad mínima de 
    hojas que éste imprimirá.
    Nota:
    LEl uso continuo de un car tucho de tambor agotado causará

    Vida del cartucho del tóner de desecho
    Es necesario reemplazar el car tucho del tóner de desecho con 
    regularidad. La vida máxima del car tucho del tóner de desecho es 
    aprox. 32,000 hojas con un área de cober tura de 5 % para 
    impresión monocromática y aprox. 8,000 hojas con un área de 
    cobertura de 5 % de cian, magenta, amarillo y negro para 
    impresión a color. El número real de hojas puede variar 
    significativamente dependiendo del contenido del documento 
    original.
    Método de disposición de desechos
    Se debe disponer del material de desecho bajo condiciones que 
    cumplan con todos los reglamentos ambientales nacionales y 
    locales.
    Método de disposición de desechos para el cartucho del
