    w Overview
    p
     This unit is a com\epact full HD camera integrated with a 
    pan-tilt head and featuring a 1/3-type full \eHD MOS sensor 
    and digital signal \eprocessor (DSP).
    p
     In addition to its\e optical 18 zoom lens, the unit comes 
    with a 10 digital zoom to achieve high-quality shoo\eting 
    that overflows with ambiance.
    p
     The unit features a night mode, making it possible to shoot 
    even under very-low-brightness conditions\e by exposing 
    subjects to infrared rays.
    p
     Two models are available: the HDMI model \bW -H\f60H 
    which is ideal for distributing the signals o\ef TV conference 
    and other video events, and the SDI outpu\et model 
    \bW -H\f60S which is idea\el for creating content\e.  
    IP video transfer and IP control c\ean be performed for both 
    models.  
    It is also possible to connect to an \eexisting camera 
    controller using ser\eial control.

    Usage restrictions
    Use of the same segm\eent is recommended f\eor the network 
    in which the unit a\end the controller or\e personal computer ar\ee 
    connected.
    If the equipment uses\e connections with d\eifferent segments, 
    events based on the se\ettings inherent to \ethe network 
    equipment, for instance, may occur so check this thoroughly

    w Concerning the plug\p‑in viewer 
    software
    p
     This is necessar\f onl\f when using a personal computer 
    running Windows.
    In order to display the IP videos on \ethis unit, the “Network 
    Camera View4” plug-in viewer software must be installed.
    \fither install the so\eftware directly from th\ee unit or click the 
    [Install] button of the “plug-in viewer software” on the menu of 
    the CD-ROM supplies, and follow the on-screen inst\eructions 
    to install the softw\eare.
    p
     When the unit is pur\echased, “\butomatic installati\eon 
    of viewer software” is set to “On”. Refer to page 65 if a 
    message appears on th\ee information bar of the b\erowser.
    p
     When a Live screen is first di\esplayed from the personal \e
    computer, the screen on whic\eh to install \bctiveX required 
    to display the camera images appears. Follow the 
    on-screen instructions to install \ethe software.
    p
     If the installation \escreen is displayed every time the screen 
    is switched even after \bctiveX has been installed\e, reboot 
    the personal computer\e.
    p
     \b license to use the \eplug-in viewer software is required 
    for every personal computer w\ehich uses the softw\eare. 
    The number of times the p\elug-in software has been 
    automatically insta\elled can be checked on the “Product 
    info. screen” (page 92) under “Maintenance” (page 91). 
    Consult the dealer fr\eom whom you purchased the uni\et 
    concerning these licenses.

    Basic shooting oper\pations
    1	Set the subject bri\pghtness to the appr\popriate 
    level.
    2	Turn on the power of all the unit\ps and devices 
    in the s\fstem.
    3	Select the unit to b\pe operated.
    \fven when using only o\ene unit, it must still be selected \e
    from the wireless rem\eote control or cont\eroller.
    4	Select the shooting \pmode.
    Select one of the four (Full\buto, Manual1, Manual2 and 
    Manual3) preset shootin\eg modes (scene files)\e, each of 
    which corresponds t\eo a set of circumst\eances in which 
    the subject will be s\ehot.
    Select the mode that \esatisfies the shoot\eing conditions 
    and suits your preferences.
    When continuing to shoot in t\ehe same circumstanc\ees, 
    there is no need to \eselect another mode.
    5	Start shooting. 
    (After shooting, turn off the power of all the 
    units and devices in the s\fstem\p.)
    p
     If “Full\buto” has been selected as\e the setting 
    for Scene on the came\era menu, for example, all 
    the auto settings w\eill be turned on, and manual 
    operations will no longe\er be possible for some of 
    the items.
    Note
    With the basic operations, it is assumed tha\et the focus, iris 
    and white balance wi\ell be adjusted autom\eatically (as per the \e
    factory settings).
    If the settings have already been change\ed and the original 
    settings are to be r\eestored, refer to the “What to do when 
    encountering problems in the basic sh\eooting operations” 
    (page 14) and “Camera screen” (page 41) in “Camera menu 
    items”.

    How to turn the power on and off
    p
    w Turning the power on
    When performing the operatio\pns  
    using the wireless \premote control
    1	Set all the power switches of the units a\pnd 
    devices connected in \pthe s\fstem to ON.
    p
     This unit does not \ehave a power switch.  
    When power is supplied to it,\e the status display lamp 
    will light up orange.  
    The initial operation is then performed, and after this\e 
    the unit is set to \ethe standby mode.
    2	Press one of the [\pCA\b1] to [CA\b4] buttons on 
    the wireless remote\p control to select the un\pit.
    3	Press the [ON/STANDBY] button on the 
    wireless remote con\ptrol for 2 seconds.
    The POW\fR ON mode is estab\elished, images are 
    output, and control\e can be exercised. p
     The unit’s status display lamp now lights up green.
    p
     It takes about 30 seconds per unit for the initial 
    settings operation to be completed\e. During this 
    period, the unit canno\et be operated.  
    (Status display lamp: light up orange)
    p
     When transferring to the STAND BY mode
    (Status display lamp: Orange) 
    The pan/tilt positio\en is stored in the \ememory, and 
    the pan/tilt unit is moved so that it points backwards.
    p
      When transferring to the POWER ON mode
    (Status display lamp: Green (after the in\eitial setting 
    operation is completed))\e 
    The pan/tilt unit is\e moved to the position w\ehich was 
    stored in the memory when the transition to the 
    ST\bND BY mode was made.
    p
     POWER ON preset
    The pan/tilt unit is\e moved to the setting, w\ehich was 
    established immediately pr\eior to the transition to the 
    ST\bND BY mode, when the power has been turned 
    on.
    p
     If the power is turned off without transferring to the 
    ST\bND BY mode, the pan/tilt unit \eposition will not 
    be stored in the mem\eory or reflected in th\ee POW\fR 
    ON preset. The zoom position is sto\ered using the 
    setting established immediately be\efore the power is 
    turned off.
    Notes
    4	If a multiple number of units are\p going to be 
    used, repeat steps 
    2 and 3 as required.
    The unit’s status display lamp blinks green when a signal 
    matched by the remote control\e ID has been received, and 
    it blinks orange when a signal t\ehat is not matched \eby the 
    remote control ID ha\es been received.
    When performing the operatio\pns using the contr\poller
    When the AW‑RP655 or AW‑RP555 is connecte\pd:
    1	Set all the power switches of the units a\pnd 
    devices connected in \pthe s\fstem to ON.
    p
     This unit does not \ehave a power switch.  
    When power is supplied to it,\e the status display lamp 
    will light up orange.  
    The initial operation is then performed, and after this\e 
    the unit is set to \ethe standby mode.
    2	Set the [OPERATE] switch on the controller to 
    ON.
    The POW\fR ON mode is estab\elished, images are 
    output, and control\e can be exercised. p
     The unit’s status display lamp now lights up green.

    period, the unit canno\et be operated.

    Select the mode that \esatisfies the shoot\eing conditions and\e

    The settings can be \echanged by menu operations.

     The results of the w\ehite balance and oth\eer adjustments 
    are stored in the me\emory separately by shooting mode.
    Be absolutely sure to\e select the shooting\e mode before 
    making any adjustments.
