- 51 - Using the Sub Camera and the Main Camera, you can record two images simultaneously. (Twin Camera) Use the Sub Camera to enjoy recording yourself, a family member next to you or scenery different from that seen from the Main Camera. B Sub Window ≥ The image of the Sub Camera is displayed on the Sub Window. 1Rotate the Sub Camera.≥When you rotate the Sub camera from a position in the range C (0 e to approximately 30 e) to a position in the range D (approximately 30 e to 270 e), the Sub Window is displayed on the LCD monitor. ≥ If the Sub Window does not appear, touch to display it. ≥ When the Sub Camera is in use, you cannot start up the Wireless Twin Camera function with (startup icon for Wireless Twin Camera/disconnect icon for Wireless Twin/ Multi-Camera). Advanced (Recording) Recording with the Sub Camera (Twin Camera) [WXF991] A Sub Camera Recording a family member next to you Recording scenery Recording yourself ≥ Recording only with the Sub Camera is not possible. ≥ An image recorded w ith the Main Camera and the Sub Camera’s ima ge displayed on the Sub Window are recorded as a single scene or still picture. Whe n you play back such a scene or still picture, it is not possible to delete only the S ub Window image or hide it. ≥ The minimum focus distance of the Sub Camera is approximately 3 0cm (12q).
- 52 - 2Rotate the Sub Camera dial to adjust its up/ down angle. ≥You can adjust the angle up or down to approximately 20 e from the position F. 3Start recording.≥ Rotate the Sub Camera to the desired position. ≥ The Sub Camera works in Auto Focus, which adjusts focus automatically. ≥ Normally, hold this unit as shown in the illustration when recording. - 53 - ∫ Displaying or hiding the Sub Window Touch .≥Each time you touch the icon, y ou can display or hide the Sub Window. ≥ When the Sub Window is hidden, the image of the Sub Camera will not be recorded. To exit the Twin Camera functionRotate the Sub Camera to a position in the range C (0e to approximately 30e). ≥It takes some time until the Sub Window appears. ≥ If the Sub Window does not appear, touch or return the Sub Cam era to a position in the range C (0e to approximately 30 e) and then rotate it to a position in the range D (approximately 30 e to 270 e). ≥ The Sub Camera is turned on as long as is displayed. ≥ Depending on recording conditions, the color balance, brightnes s and other settings may differ between the Main Camera and the Sub Camera. ≥ The following button icons may not be displayed when the Sub Wi ndow is displayed. Fo r information on the settings for the Sub Camera, refer to page 54. ≥ When you record still pictures by using the Twin Camera functio n, it may take longer than usual to achieve focus. ( l30) ≥ The Sub Camera does not work when you are using the following f unctions: j HDR Movie Mode j FULL HD Slow Motion Video Mode j Stop Motion Animation Assist Mode ≥ When the LCD monitor is either closed or closed with the screen facing outward, the Sub Camera does not work. - 54 - Changing and adjusting the settings of the Sub Camera and the Sub Window 1Touch Sub Window. 2 Touch to select the size you want to use. ≥If you do not touch the Sub Window or perform any touch operati on for a while, the Sub Window size will change. ≥ The available sub window sizes differ as shown below. jIn Motion Picture Recording Mode or when [ASPECT RATIO] in Still Picture Recording Mode is set to [16:9] j When [ASPECT RATIO] in Still Picture Recording Mode is set to [ 4:3] or [3:2] * The aspect ratio set in [ ASPECT RATIO] will be displayed. 1Touch the Sub Window.≥The zoom icon will be displayed for approximately 2 seconds*. * It will be displayed for approximately 3 seconds when the Wireless Multi-Camera function is enabled. - 56 - (When is touched) To u c h o r . ≥Touching the screen returns you to the recording screen. ≥ When Narration Mode is enabled, its icon will be constantly displayed on the screen. ≥ You can enable or disable Narration Mode by touching on the recording screen. ≥ In Narration Mode, the settings for [5.1ch/2ch] and [MIC SETUP] are set as follows and cannot be changed: j [SURROUND] in [MIC SETUP], if [5.1ch/2ch] is set to [5.1ch] j [STEREO MIC] in [MIC SETUP], if [5.1ch/2ch] is set to [2ch] ≥ [Sound Scene Select] is not available in Narration Mode. ≥ If you hide the Sub Window, Narration Mode will not work. (Backup for Twin Camera) ≥ Even when using the Wireless Twin /Multi-Camera function, you can save the image being recorded with the Main Camera as a separate scene. ( l200 ) ≥ Set [REC FORMAT] to [AVCHD] and [REC MODE] to [PH]/[HA]/[HG]/[H E]. - 58 - ≥When recording with [Backup for Twin Camera], use an SD card co nforming to Class 10 of the SD Speed Class Rating. ≥ Scenes recorded as Backup for Twin Camera and scenes that show the Sub Window’s image will be saved on the same media. This causes the remaining recordable time to be halved. ≥ When [ON] is selected, two separate dates are used to record sc enes simultaneously. - 60 - The following modes (appropriate for the condition) are set just by pointing the unit to what you want to record. *1 In Motion Picture Recording Mode only *2 In Still Picture Recording Mode only ≥ Depending on the recording conditions, the unit may not enter t he desired mode. ≥ In the Portrait, Spotlight, or Low Light Mode, the face will be surrounded by a white frame when detected. In the Portrait Mode, a subject that is bigger and close to center of the screen will be surrounded by an orange frame. ( l92) ≥ Using a tripod is recommended in Night Scenery Mode. ≥ Faces cannot be detected depending on the recording conditions, such as when faces are of certain sizes or at certain tilts or when digital zoom is used. Intelligent Auto ModeEffect Portrait Faces are detected and focused automatically, and the brightnes s is adjusted so it is recorded clearly.
