    Connecting this unit to a DLNA-compatible device via Wi-Fi, you can playback scenes and still 
    pictures on the DLNA device.
    A DLNA-compatible device
    Preparations before using [DLNA Play]
    1Check if the wireless access point is compatible with IEEE802.1 1b/g/n.
    2 Check if the Device is DLNA-compatible.
    3 Set up a Wi-Fi connection between this unit and the wireless ac cess point.

    ≥ Searching for wireless access points to set up a connection ( l187)
    ≥ Setting up a connection manually ( l188 )
    4 When the Wi-Fi connection is complete, follow the procedure in  “Playing 
    back on a TV”. (l172)
    ≥ Using [Wi-Fi Setup Wizard], you can also set up a Wi-Fi connect ion in conjunction with the 
    smartphone application “Image App”. ( l185 )
    ≥ [DLNA Play] is not available in the following cases:
    jWhen [REC FORMAT] is set to [24p] 
    j When you set [MEDIA, VIDEO/PICTURE] to [2160/24p] or [1080/24p]  in Playback Mode

    ≥Please read the operating instructions for the TV about connect ing TV to the wireless 
    access point.
    ≥ Do not remove the SD card in playing back on a TV.

    Playing back on a TV
    You can play back the scenes and still pictures recorded with or stored in this unit on a TV.
    ≥ The following scenes can be played back:
    jScenes recorded in AVCHD
    j Scenes recorded as Backup for Twin Camera
    j Scenes recorded in MP4/iFrame [720]
    j Scenes saved in MP4 (1280 k720/30p) or MP4 (640 k360/30p)
    ≥ Proceed to Step 2 when your Wi-Fi connection has been made via  [Wireless Settings] in [Wi-Fi 
    Setup] ( l186  to 189 ).
    1Press Wi-Fi button on this unit. 
    2Touch [DLNA Play] on the Wi-Fi menu screen.≥If you touch [Change AP], you can switch the wireless access po int to another one that has been 
    registered to this unit.
    ≥ If you touch [CANCEL], the Wi-F i connection is canceled.
    ≥ When the connection to this unit is complete, the screen of thi s unit turns off. To display it again, 
    touch the screen.
    3Select this unit (SSID) by the TV side.≥ Select SD media and select the motion picture ([AVCHD/MP4]) or  still picture ([JPEG]) to play 
    back.
    4Perform playback operations with the TV remote control.≥ Playback operations may differ depending on the TV in use.
    ≥ The following operations can be performed if a color button is 
    pushed.
    Blue/Red: Skip playback
    ≥ Fast forward/Fast rewind playback cannot be performed.
    ≥ You cannot perform playback operations with this unit.
    To exit [DLNA Play]:Touch [EXIT] or press Wi-Fi button.
    ≥A message is displayed. Touch [YES] to exit.
    ≥You cannot play back the following scenes:
    jScenes recorded in 4K MP4
    j Scenes recorded in 24p
    j Scenes recorded with [1080/50M], [1080/28M] or [iFrame] of [MP4 /iFrame]
    j Scenes saved in MP4 (1920 k1080/30p)
    ≥ Depending on your environment, such as the network condition, s cenes may not be played back 
    smoothly.

    By setting up a Wi-Fi communication between this unit and a PC, you can copy scenes and still 
    pictures recorded with this unit to the PC.
    A PC
    Preparations before using [Copy]
    1Check if the wireless access point is compatible with IEEE802.1 1b/g/n.
    2 Check if the PC and the wireless access point are connected via  Wi-Fi.
    ≥You can also use a LAN cable to connect the PC and the wireless  access point.3Set up a Wi-Fi connection between this unit and the wireless ac cess point.≥[WPS Connection] ( l186 )
    ≥ Searching for wireless access points to set up a connection ( l187)
    ≥ Setting up a connection manually ( l188 )
    4 When the Wi-Fi connection is complete, follow the procedure in  “Copying to 
    a PC”. (l175)
    ≥ Using [Wi-Fi Setup Wizard], you can also set up a Wi-Fi connect ion in conjunction with the 
    smartphone application “Image App”. ( l185 )
    Wi-Fi
    [Copy]
    ≥If [CLOCK SET] ( l25) is not set correctly, scenes and still pictures may not be ab le to 
    be copied to a PC.
    ≥ For information on the connection between a PC and a wireless a ccess point, refer to 
    the operating instruction of the device in use.
    ≥ If this unit and a PC are not connected to the same wireless access point, copying is 
    not possible.

    To copy scenes and still pictures by setting up a Wi-Fi connection between this unit and the PC, 
    complete the following preparations: jTurn on the PC
    j Create a shared folder (destination folder)
    *1
    *1 The name of the folder must consist of 15 or less alphanumeri c characters.
    ∫When using HD Writer AE 5.3
    1 Install HD Writer AE 5.3.≥For information on the operating environment and installation,  refer to “Operating environment” 
    ( l 225 ) and “Installation” (l 228).
    2Using HD Writer AE 5.3, create a destination folder.≥Select [Auto-create] or [Create  manually]. The first option creates a destination folder 
    automatically, while the second o ption allows you to specify a destination folder or create a new 
    one. With the second option, you can also set password protecti on for a destination folder.
    ≥ For details, refer to the Operating Instructions of HD Writer AE  5.3 (PDF file). (l232 )
    ∫When not using HD Writer AE 5.3
    ≥If the workgroup setting of the connected PC has been changed from the standard one, you also 
    need to change the [PC Connect Setup] setting of this unit. ( l197)
    ≥ The user account of the PC (both the Account Name and the Passw ord) must consist of 32 or 
    less alphanumeric characters.

    If you use non-alphanumeric characters for the user account, a  destination folder may not be set 
    up.
    *2 If you use more than 32 characters for the user account, copyi ng via a Wi-Fi connection is not 
    possible.
    (For Windows)

    1 Select a destination folder, and right-click.
    2 Select [Properties], and enable sharing of the folder.
    ≥For details on how to enable sharing, refer to the operating in structions of your PC or the help of 
    your OS.
    (For Mac)
    Supported OS: OS X v10.4 to v10.11
    Example: OS X v10.11
    1 Select a destination folder, and click the following items:
    [File]  # [Get Info]
    2 Enable sharing of the folder.
    ≥For details on how to enable sharing, refer to the operating in structions of your PC or the help of 
    your OS.

    Copying to a PC
    ≥Create a shared folder (destination folder) on the PC. ( l174 )
    ≥ Proceed to Step 2 when your Wi-Fi connection has been made via  [Wireless Settings] in [Wi-Fi 
    Setup] ( l186  to 189 ).
    1Press Wi-Fi button on this unit. 
    2Touch [Copy] on the Wi-Fi menu screen.
    3Touch the PC to be connected.≥To search for PCs again, touch [Refresh].
    (When the PC you want to connect to is not displayed)
    Touch [Manual Setting].
    4(When [Manual Setting] is touched)Enter the computer name of the PC (NetBIOS name for Mac compute rs).≥Enter the computer name of your PC (NetBIOS name for Mac comput ers).
    (A maximum of 15 characters can be entered.)
    ≥ When the computer name (or NetBIOS name) contains a space (blan k character), etc., it may not 
    be recognized correctly. If a connection attempt fails, we recommend that you change the 
    computer name (or NetBIOS name) to the one consisting of only a lphanumeric characters, with a 
    maximum of 15 characters.
    ≥ Input method is same operation as for setting up the title. ( l11 6 )
    ≥ After entering the computer name of the PC, touch [Enter].
    5Touch [INPUT], and enter the name of the shared folder.≥If you have created a shared folder (destination folder) using  HD Writer AE 5.3 (l174 ), touch 
    [NEXT].
    ≥ Enter the name of the shared folder that you have created on yo ur PC and then touch [Enter].
    (A maximum of 15 characters can be entered.)
    ≥ If a screen asking you to enter a user account and password is  displayed after you have entered 
    the name of the shared folder, enter the one you have created o n your PC.
    ≥ When the connection to the PC is complete, copying starts.
    ≥ When copying is complete, this unit turns off automatically.
    When you stop copying halfwayTouch [CANCEL] while copying.

    ≥Copying can be performed even when the battery is used for powe r, but we recommend that the 
    AC adaptor be used.
    ≥ Once scenes or still pictures are copied to a PC, the original  scenes or still pictures cannot be 
    copied to any PCs.
    ≥ If the total length of the scenes recorded on the same date on  the SD card exceeds 
    approximately 8 hours, the scenes will not be copied.
    ≥ If the copy source contains scenes or still pictures recorded o n other devices, copying may be 
    canceled.
    ≥ Depending on your environment, copying may take time or may not  be available.
    ≥ If the scene to be copied is long or copying fails, we recommen d that the following be performed 
    for copying.
    j Connecting this unit to the PC by USB cable ( l229 , 233)
    j Inserting the SD card to the built-in SD card slot of the PC or  your SD card reader/writer directly
    ≥ Scenes exceeding 4 GB may not be copied.
    If you intend to delete the original scenes or still pictures w
    hen the copying has finished, 
    always play back the duplicate scenes or still pictures on PC b efore deletion to confirm that 
    they have been copied normally.

    You can broadcast motion pictures of this unit live by setting up a link between the “LUMIX CLUB” 
    and USTREAM.
    A You can also broadcast motion pictures live by connecting this  unit and a smartphone that 
    supports tethering.
    Wi-Fi
    [Live Cast]
    ≥ If [CLOCK SET] ( l25) is not set correctly, [Live Cast] cannot be used.
    ≥ Check your contract details carefully, as smartphone and intern et contract details may 
    result in high communication charges being incurred, or a limit  placed on 
    communication traffic.
    Caution:
    Be sure to pay special attenti on to the privacy, the Portrait r ights, etc. of the subject when you use 
    this function. Use at your own risk.

    Preparations before using [Live Cast]
    1(When connecting to a wireless access point)Check if the wireless access point is compatible with IEEE802.11b/g/n.
    (For tethering connection)
    Check if your smartphone is compatible with the tethering funct ion.≥For information on how to set up the tethering function, refer  to the operating instructions for your 
    smartphone.
    2 Acquire a USTREAM ID/Password/APP.≥Acquire a USTREAM ID/Password/APP using a smartphone or a PC.
    ≥ Operation cannot be guaranteed on future USTREAM services and u pdates. The service content 
    and screens which can be used are subject to change without pri or notice. (This service is current 
    as of November 2015)
    3 Acquire a “LUMIX CLUB” Login ID/Password.≥When you connect this unit to a wireless access point ( l186), you can acquire a “LUMIX CLUB” 
    Login ID/Password with this unit. ( l198 )
    4 Use linked services with “LUMIX CLUB”
    ≥Log in to the “LUMIX CLUB” and register/set up the USTREAM on W EB service link setup.
    5Set up a Wi-Fi connection between this unit and the wireless ac cess point.≥[WPS Connection] ( l186 )
    ≥ Searching for wireless access points to set up a connection ( l187)
    ≥ Setting up a connection manually ( l188 )
    6 When the Wi-Fi connection is complete, follow the procedure in 
    “Broadcasting live”. (l179)
    ≥Using [Wi-Fi Setup Wizard], you can also set up a Wi-Fi connect ion in conjunction with the

    ≥ [Live Cast] is not available in the following cases:

    Broadcasting live
    ≥Proceed to Step 2 when your Wi-Fi connection has been made via  [Wireless Settings] in [Wi-Fi 
    Setup] ( l186  to 189 ).
    1Press Wi-Fi button on this unit. 
    2Touch [Live Cast] on the Wi-Fi menu screen.≥If a “LUMIX CLUB” Login ID and Password has not been registered  to this unit yet, enter them 
    according to the screen.
    ≥ You can register up to three wireless access points. When conne cting to a wireless access point, 
    this unit will try to connect to wireless access points one aft er the other. For example, if it fails to 
    connect to the first one, it will try to connect to the second  one. (l194)
    ≥ If you touch [Change AP], you can switch the wireless access po int to another one that has been 
    registered to this unit.
    ≥ When the connection is made correctly, the screen of this unit  switches to the Live Cast Mode.
    ∫To send e-mails
    You can send e-mails containing such information as the USTREAM  channel name or the 
    scheduled broadcast date.
    ≥ This unit can only set the scheduled broadcast date. ( l181 ) For other settings, set them on the 
    “LUMIX CLUB”.
    ≥ On the “LUMIX CLUB”, register the destination addresses of the  e-mail in advance.
    Touch  .≥/ /  will disappear when no touch function is 
    performed for a specific period of time. To display them again,  
    touch the screen.
    ∫ To start the live broadcast
    Touch  .≥If you press the start recording button, you can simultaneously  
    record the broadcast to this unit. The Backup for Twin Camera 
    function is not available.
    ≥ / /  will disappear when no touch function is 
    performed for a specific period of time. To display them again,  
    touch the screen.
    ∫ To stop the live broadcast
    Touch  .
    ≥When   (gray) is displayed, unsent data is present. Wait until the unsent data is sent and   is 
    displayed.
    To exit the Live Cast Mode:Touch [EXIT] or press Wi-Fi button.
    ≥A message is displayed. Touch [YES] to exit.

    About the screen indications in the Live Cast Mode
    ≥Recording is performed in Intelligent Auto Mode.
    ≥ In Live Cast Mode, [REC FORMAT] is set to [AVCHD], and [REC MOD E] (l182 ) is set to [PH]/
    [HA]/[HG]/[HE].
    ≥ If you record an image when the LCD monitor of this unit is clo sed with the screen facing outward, 
    the LCD monitor turns off.
    ≥ If this unit is on the e-mail send er block list of destination devices or if their firewall setting is 
    enabled, the Wi-Fi function may not work correctly when you sen d an e-mail. If this occurs, check 
    the network settings.
    ≥ When the live broadcast cannot be watched on a USTREAM applicat ion for TVs or smartphones, 
    cancel the Password for the Program, and restart the broadcast.
    ≥ Image content may be leaked to third parties depending on the U STREAM image publication 
    method settings. Set the publication range and Password using U STREAM if required.
