    ∫Battery
    ∫ Returning the unit for repair
    ≥Contact the dealer or Panasonic for repair.
    ≥ When the unit is repaired, your personal information will be de lete d and settings will return to their 
    default settings. We recommend that you take a backup copy of i mportant information.
    ≥ To protect your personal information, before returning the unit  for
      repair, reset it from the  
    Home screen  > [ ] >  [ ] >  [Backup & reset]  > [F actory data reset].
    Refer to  P17 4 for details.
    ∫ Disposing of this unit≥When disposing of the used product, perform [Factory data reset ] to  completely erase all data, remove 
    the built-in battery and recycle it.
    For details on how to remove the battery, see “Disposing of this 
     unit” in the “Basic Owner’s Manual”.
    ≥ Please make sure that the battery is disposed of at an official ly a ssigned location, if there is one in your 
    country.
    ≥ The unusable battery should be discarded in accordance with bat te
     ry recycling laws. Call the RBRC 
    hotline at 1-800-822-8837 for information.
    ∫ When used during overseas travel etc.≥The usage of GPS etc., may be restricted depending on the count ry  or the region.
    This unit has a GPS function, so check with the embassies or travel a gencies etc. prior to your 
    overseas travel regarding any restrictions on cameras with a bu ilt-in GPS function.
    ∫AC adaptor≥Remove the AC adaptor from the power outlet after completely charg ing the battery in order to save 
    power and maintain battery performance.
    ∫ About the microSIM card, microSD card≥Do not place magnetic cards or devices with data stored magneti cally n ear the microSIM card or 
    microSD card.
    Doing so may cause data loss on the microSIM card, microSD card  or
      magnetic card, or affect the 
    operation of the device.
    ≥ Do not touch the connection terminals of the microSIM card or m icro
     SD card.
    ≥ Turn the unit off when removing the microSIM card or microSD ca rd.
    F ailure to do so may cause data loss, or damage to the microSIM  card , microSD card or the unit.
    ≥ Making backups of the data stored on the microSIM card or microSD  card is recommended to prevent 
    data loss.
    ≥
    The battery is a consumable item.
    While performance depends on the usage status of the unit, if t he am
     ount of time that the unit can be 
    used becomes drastically shorter even after charging it, the battery may require replacement.
    Contact the dealer or Panasonic for replacement of the battery.
    ≥ When the battery is replaced, your personal information will be  delet
     ed and settings will return to their 
    default settings. We recommend that you take a backup copy of i mportant information.
    ≥ The charging and usage time of the battery differs with the usa ge 
     environment.
    ≥ Charge the battery in an area where the temperature is between 5  o C and 35  o C (41  oF and 95  oF).
    ≥ If the unit is not used for an extended period of time (1  month or more), discharge the battery (by using

    e unit) until the battery level is 30% to 40%, and store in a  cool, dry place.
