About the operation sound that is produced when you stop recording
Since motion picture recording stops only after you press the motion picture button, the
sound of the operation may be noticeable. If the sound bothers you, try the following: –
Divide the last part of the motion picture using [Video Divide] (P242) in the [Playback]
    menu.
The motion picture may not be divided near the very end of it. To avoid this, record
    approximately 3 seconds longer.
–Set the camera to Creative Video Mode, and use a shutter remote control (optional) to

    A Size
    B ALL-lntra
    C Bit rate
D Recording frame rate (Sensor output)
•“ALL-Intra” refers to a data compression
method in which each frame is compressed. The file size of motion pictures recorded
in this method becomes larger, but this method can prevent the loss of image quality
because editing does not require re-encoding.
    •What is bit rate
This is the volume of data for a definite period of time, and the quality becomes
higher when the number gets bigger. This unit is using the “VBR” recording method.
“VBR” is an abbreviation for “Variable Bit Rate”, and the bit rate (volume of data for
definite period of time) is changed automatically depending on the subject to record.
Therefore, the recording time is shortened when a subject with fast movement is
    recorded.
•Depending on the [Rec Format] and [Rec Quality] of a motion picture, the speed
class rating required for the card differs. Use a card that meets the rating. For details,
    refer to
“About the motion picture recording and speed class” on P22 .

•Though a [MP4 (LPCM)]/[MOV] motion picture can be recorded continuously without a pause
even when its file size exceeds 4 GB, the reco rded content is played back with multiple files.
∫About the compatibility of the recorded motion pictures
Even when a compatible device is used, recorded motion pictures may be played back
with reduced picture and sound quality, or they may not be played back.
Also, recording information may not be display ed correctly. Use this unit to playback in
    such case.
    •
To play back motion pictures recorded with the recording frame rate set to [24p] in [Rec Quality]
on an external device or to export the motion pi ctures to it, you need a compatible Blu-ray disc
recorder or a PC installed with PHOTOfunSTUDIO.
•If you want to use another device to play back or edit motion pictures recorded in [MP4
(LPCM)] or [MOV], a high-performance PC environment or a PC installed with
    “ PHOTOfunSTUDIO ” is required.
