    Voice Record
    The Voice Record feature of youri90cphone enables you to record and play
    back personal messages or the incoming portion of phone calls on youri90c
    phone.
    This section includes:
    About Voice Records
    Your phone can store up to 20 Voice Records, with a maximum total time of
    approximately three minutes, depending on available memory. Voice Records
    are automatically labeled with the time and date they were recorded.
    IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTE:Voice Recording capabilities should only
    be used in accordance with applicable state laws. Please check your
    local laws regarding the recording of conversations using the Voice
    Record feature.

    To access the Voice Record feature:

    1From the idle screen, pressq.
    2PressRto scroll toVoiceRecord.
    3PressCunder SELECT.
    1From theVoiceRecordscreen, pressRto scroll to[New VoiceRec].
    2PressCunder RECORD and speak the message you want to record
    into the microphone.
    3When you are finished recording your Voice Record, pressCunder
    STOP.
    1While on an active call, pressq.
    2PressRto scroll toRecord.
    3PressCunder SELECT to record the incoming portion of the call.
    Your own voice will not be recorded.
    4When you are finished recording your Voice Record, pressCunder

    Adding to a Voice Record
    After you create a Voice Record, you can go back and record additional
    information at the end of the existing Voice Record:
    Labeling a Voice Record
    When you create a Voice Record, it is labeled with the time and date it was
    recorded. After a Voice Record has been recorded, you can re-name it with a
    custom label.
    To label a Voice Record:
    1From theVoiceRecordscreen, pressRto scroll to the Voice Record
    youwanttoplay.
    2PressCunder PLAY.
    3To stop the Voice Record while it is playing, pressCunder BACK or
    close phone cover.
    1From theVoiceRecordscreen, pressRto scroll to the Voice Record
    youwanttoaddto.
    2Pressqto view theVoiceRecd Menu.
    3PressRto scroll toAdd To.
    4PressCunder SELECT and speak the message you want to record into
    the microphone.
    5When you are finished recording, pressCunder STOP.

    want to name.

    Locking/Unlocking a Voice Record
    Locking a Voice Record prevents it from being deleted. When a Voice Record is
    locked, the locked iconMappears next to it.

    4At theEnter Labelscreen, enter a label for the Voice Record using the
    alphanumeric keypad.
    5PressCunder OK.

    you want to delete.

    Voice Records Memory
    To lock or unlock a Voice Record:

    Typically, you can store up to 20 Voice Records with a total time of about three
    minutes. To check the amount of memory available for Voice Records:
    NOTE: Voice Records, Java application data, and ring styles share the
    same memory space on your phone. Using a large amount of
    memory to store Java application data, or ring styles reduces
    thespaceavailableforVoiceRecords.Youcancreatemore
    memory space to store Voice Records by deinstalling stored
    Java applications (see“Java Apps Memory”on page 148) or
    deleting some ring styles (see“Ring Styles”on page 154).

    you want to lock or unlock.

    The memory meter shows the amount of Voice Record memory space
    currently in use. It fills in from left to right as your Voice Record
    memory space fills up.
    4From theMemory Meterscreen, you can free more Voice Record
    memory space by pressingCunder DELETE to delete all unlocked
    Voice Records.

    Starting the Microbrowser
    Just as you use Netscape Navigator®or Microsoft®Internet Explorer to browse
    the Web from your desktop, the microbrowser contained in your phone allows
    you to explore and use a variety of Nextel Online services. To begin using NOL:
    1From the idle screen, pressqto access theMain Menu.
    2PressRto scroll toNet.
    3PressCunder SELECT.
    4Your NOL home page displays.
    NOTE: The first time you access Net, you will be asked to enable
    security to ensure your information remains private and
    secure.
    Press
    Cunder Yes. The phone will display: Generating…,
    Computing…, Sending))))).
    You may be asked to (re)enable security as Nextel adds new
    services or upon your return to the U.S. after traveling.
    When transmitting highly personal or sensitive data, such as
    a credit card number, you will see the Secure Data icon
    {.
    This icon indicates that the data is encrypted during
