4 Service 4.1 Fan Motor Removal ARemoving the Drying Unit Container, 095 4.3. ARemove the microfine filter. See Section 5.29. ALoosen the clamps on the connection hose (Figure 5-22, Item 3), and disconnect the hose. ARemove the air duct screws; see Figure 5-22, Item 1. ARemove the solid-state relay screws; see Figure 4-23, Item 4. ARemove the complete air and intake channel unit, with motor, from the base plate (Figure 5-22, Item 2). x Fig. 3:Fan Motor Removal - Preparation ARemove the three air intake channel screws; see Figure 5-23, Item 3. ARemove the two screws securing the fan cover. Remove the fan cover. ARemove the microfine filter; see Microfine Filter Replacement, 095 4.4. ARemove the retaining screws from the base insert, 096 Fig. 6, Pos. A. x Fig. 6:Base Insert with Controls ARemove the base insert and turn it over. ADisconnect the plug connections and remove the screws securing the part to be replaced. AReassemble by following these instructions in reverse order. x Note When re-installing the base insert, ensure that electrical connections are not pulled across sharp edges or have their insulation otherwise damaged. ARemove the connection hose. See Figure 5-24, Item 9. ARemove the heater bank base screws (Figure 5-24, Item 3) from under the base plate (Figure 5-24, Item 1). ARemove the 4 screws from the heater bank housing. See Figure 5-24, Item 8. ARemove the heater bank housing. ARemove the two side screws (Figure 5-24, Item 4) from the heater bank (Figure 5-24, Item 5). ADisconnect the connection plug. AReassemble by following these instructions in reverse order. x Note When connecting the new heater bank, ensure that connections and bridges are not interchanged. When connecting the heater bank to its holder, check that the ceramic washers are installed correctly. Install the rubber seal (Figure 5-24, Item 7) correctly. 4.5 Replacing Heater Bank Thermostat F2 ARemoving the Drying Unit Container, 095 4.3. ARemove the connection hose. See Figure 5-24, Item 9.
