See “Left side printer cover removal” on page 4-33. 2.Open the front access door, and disconnect the fuser link (A). 3.Place the printer on its right side. Repair information 4-47 7013-XXX 6.Lift the left door mount (C) away from the side frame, and unroute the cable (D) with a spring hook. 7.Reinstall the left door mount, and place the printer on its top. Note: Be careful to not mar the finish of the printer. 8.Disconnect the cable (D) from J25 on the controller board, and remove the manual feed solenoid. See “Main motor gear drive removal” on page 4-42. 3.Carefully remove the e-clipthat secures the clutch to the ACM shaft. 4.Pull up the clutch from the cavity, exposingthe white tape. 5.Cut the tape to expose the wire connectionto the clutch, and cut the cables at the copper leads. 6.Clean any adhesive residue from the wires.

4-52 Service Manual 7013-XXX 7.Pull the clutch cable into the motor cavity. Pull up the cable to remove any slack. 8.Remove any shrink tubing that is holding the wires together. Warning: Do not strip the insulation off the red and black wires. The connectors will not work if the insulation is removed.
