Changing the administrator password
The following procedure describes how to change the administrator pass-
word.
1Press [Administrator Password].
2Press [Password] (top).
3Type in the current administrator password, and then press [OK].
4Press [Password] (bottom).
5Type in the new administrator password, and then press [OK].

If password rules have been applied, limitations are placed on certain pass-
words. Specified passwords must be...

– Specify a password of 8 or more digits.
– Uppercase and lowercase letters are differentiated.
– Half-width symbols are used. The use of symbols such as the quota-
tion mark (), plus sign (+) and spaces are limited with some settings.
– A password that consists of a repetition of the same character cannot 
be specified.
– When changing the password, the same password as that before it is 
changed cannot be specified.

Changed settings
For increased security, the following settings are set when enhanced security 
settings are applied.
A changed setting cannot be changed when [Enhanced Security 
Mode] is set to [OFF].
If password rules have been applied, a password that does not meet 
the conditions of the password rules is considered a failed attempt 
during authentication.

Keep media on a flat, level surface in its original wrapper until it is time 
to load it.
Before printing a large number of copies on special paper (other than 
plain paper), perform a trial print to check the quality of the print result.
