Loading Media 118 Do not load so much paper that the top of the stack is higher than the maximum limit guide. Up to 100 sheets (80 g/m 2 [22 lb]) of plain paper can be loaded into the tray at one time. 5Slide the media guides against the edges of the paper. 6Select PAPER SETUP/TRAY1 PAPER in the UTILITY menu, and then select the settings for the size and type of paper that is loaded. Other Media When loading media other than plain paper, set the media mode (Envelope, Label, Letterhead, Thick 1, Thick 2, Glossy 1, Glossy 2, or Transparency) in the driver for optimum print quality. Loading Media 120 4Load the envelopes flap side up in the tray. Before loading enve- lopes, press them down to make sure that all air is removed, and make sure that the folds of the flaps are firmly pressed; other- wise the envelopes may become wrinkled or a media misfeed may occur. Up to 10 envelopes can be loaded into the tray at one time. For envelopes with the flap along the long edge (Envelope Chou #3, Envelope C6, Envelope Monarch and Envelope DL), load the envelopes with the flap side inserted first. 5Slide the media guides against the edges of the envelopes.
