Scan methods There are several ways to scan a document. ●Scan from the device control panel: Start scanning directly using the control-panel scan buttons. Press Scan To to scan to a folder (Windows only) or to scan to e-mail. For more information, see Scan. ●Scan from HP Solution Center (Windows): From the workstation start the HP Solution Center software. Scanning resolution is measured in pixels per inch (ppi). Color, grayscale, and black and white define the number of colors possible. Adjust the scanner hardware resolution to up to 1200 ppi. The software can perform an enhanced resolution up to 19,200 ppi. Also, set color and grayscale at 1 bit (black and white), or at 8 bit (256 levels of gray) to 24 bit (true color).
