14Instruments & Controls Indicators Lamp Check. Lamp Check The low oil pressure indicator comes on when you turn the ignition switch ON so you can check that it is working. The indicator remains on until af ter the engine is started. The low oil pressure indicator is identif ied in the table on the next page with the words: When applicable, the high beam and neutral indicators come on when you turn the ignition switch ON and remain on until you select the low beam or shif t out of neutral.If one of these indicators does not come on when it should, have your Honda dealer check for problems. 03/03/07 13:02:06 31MEM600_023

µ µ µ (1) fuel valve(1) LEFT SIDE 17 Fuel Valve Controls & Features Instruments & Controls The manual fuel valve is located on the lef t side under the f uel tank. The three-way f uel valve is used to control the f low of f uel f rom the f uel tank to the carburetor.With the f uel valve set to ON, f uel f lows to the carburetors only when the engine is being started or is running. A diaphragm shuts of f f uel f low when the engine is turned off. For complete inf ormation about f ueling your motorcycle, see page . RES for extra fuel to get to a gas station for refueling. The ignition key is also used to lock the steering f or thef t prevention (page ). Insert the key and turn it to the right f or the ON position. If a key ring is used, we recommend a f abric or leather type with just the key attached. The starter motor will not operate if the engine stop switch is in the OFF position when the start button is pushed.The engine stop switch ( ) is used to stop the engine in an emergency. To operate, push the switch to the OFF position. The switch must be in the RUN position to start the engine, and it should normally remain in the RUN position even when the engine is OFF. To operate, move the switch all the way in the proper direction and release it. The appropriate turn signal lights will start blinking. To cancel the light, push the switch in.
