    Ifyou useanextension cordwiththeproduct, makesurethetotal ampere ratingofthe devices
     plugged

    Ifdamage occurstothe plug, replace thecord setorconsult aqualified electrician. Ifthere arefuses in

    plug, make sureyoureplace themwithfuses ofthe correct sizeandrating.

    Always turnoffthe product usingthepower button, andwait until thepower lightstops flashing before
     unplugging
    theproduct orcutting offpower tothe electrical outlet.

    Ifyou willnot beusing theproduct foralong period, unplugthepower cordfrom theelectrical outlet.

    Place theproduct onaflat, stable surface thatextends beyonditsbase inall directions. Itwill not
     operate
    properly ifitis tilted oratan angle.

    When connecting theproduct toacomputer orother device withacable, ensure thecorrect
     orientation
    ofthe connectors. Eachconnector hasonly onecorrect orientation. Insertingaconnector
     in
    the wrong orientation maydamage bothdevices connected bythe cable.
     •
    Do not putyour hands insidetheproduct ortouch theinkcartridges whileprinting.
     •
    Do not move theprint head byhand; thismay damage theproduct.
     •
    Do not spill liquid onthe product oruse theproduct withwethands.
     •
    Do not use aerosol products thatcontain flammable gasesinsideoraround theproduct. Doingsomay
     cause
    fire.
     •
    Except asspecifically explainedinyour documentation, donot attempt toservice theproduct yourself.
     •
    Unplug theproduct andrefer servicing toqualified servicepersonnel underthefollowing conditions: if
     the
    power cordorplug isdamaged; ifliquid hasentered theproduct; ifthe product hasbeen dropped
     or
    the cabinet damaged; ifthe product doesnotoperate normally orexhibits adistinct change in
     performance.
    Adjustonlythose controls thatarecovered bythe operating instructions.

    When storing ortransporting theproduct, donot tiltit,stand iton itsside, orturn itupside down;

    Keep inkcartridges outofthe reach ofchildren anddonot drink theink.
     •
    Be careful whenyouhandle usedinkcartridges; theremaybeink remaining aroundtheinksupply
     port.
    Ifink gets onyour skin, wash itoff with soap andwater. Ifitgets inyour eyes, flushthem
     immediately
    withwater.
     •
    Do not putyour hand inside theproduct ortouch anycartridges duringprinting.
     •
    Install anew inkcartridge immediately afterremoving anexpended one.Leaving cartridges
     uninstalled
    candryouttheprint head andmay prevent theproduct fromprinting.
     •
    Install inkcartridges inall the inkcartridge slots.Youcannot printifany ofthe slots areempty.
     •
    Dried inkonthe supply portmay cause inkleaks when thecartridge isreinserted andused. Wipeoff
     any
    excess inkbefore reinserting.
     •
    Do not insert orremove replacement cartridgesduringprinting.
     •
    Do not remove thetransparent sealfrom theinksupply port.Thismay cause thecartridge tobecome
     unusable.
    
    •
    The green ICchip onthis inkcartridge retainsavariety ofcartridge-related information,suchasthe ink
     cartridge
    status,sothat thecartridge mayberemoved andreinserted freely.Donot touch thegreen IC
     chip
    onthe side ofthe cartridge. Thismay prevent normaloperation andprinting.
     •
    Ifyou remove anink cartridge forlater use,protect theinksupply areafromdirtand dust andstore itin
     the
    same environment asthe product. Notethatthere isavalve inthe inksupply port,making covers
     or
    plugs unnecessary, butcare isneeded toprevent theinkfrom staining itemsthatthecartridge
     touches.
    Donot touch theinkcartridge inksupply portorsurrounding area.
     •
    To ensure printquality, useanink cartridge beforethedate printed onitspackage.
     •
    Do not dismantle oralter anink cartridge. Thiscould damage theprint head andmay prevent the
     product
    fromprinting.
     •
    Do not drop cartridges orbump themagainst hardobjects; otherwise, theinkmay leak.
     •
    Store inkcartridges atroom temperature inalocation thatisnot exposed todirect sunlight.
     •
    After bringing anink cartridge insidefromacold storage site,allow itto warm upatroom temperature
     for
