    Panel Language
    Purpose:
    To determine the language of the text on the operator panel screen.
    Va l u e s :
    Print Menu
    Use the Print Menu to print a job using the Secure Print, Private Mail Box, 
    Public Mail Box, and Proof Print features.
     NOTE: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default menu settings.
    Secure Print
     NOTE: Secure Print feature is available only when RAM disk is set to Enable.
    Purpose:
    Display Popup OffDoes not display a popup message that prompts to 
    set

    To print confidential jobs. The printer can hold the job in memory until you 
    arrive at the printer and type the password on the operator panel.

    Private Mail Box
     NOTE: Private Mail Box feature is available only when RAM disk is set to 
    Enable.
    Purpose:
    To specify whether and how to print the job stored in the Private Mail Box.
    Va l u e s :
    Select User IDEnter the password you specified on the printer driver.

    DeleteDeletes all documents from print

    To specify whether and how to print the job stored in the Public Mail Box.

    Proof Print
     NOTE: Proof Print feature is available only when RAM disk is set to Enable.
    Purpose:
    To print only one copy and check the print result before printing all of the 
    copies. This prevents a large number of misprinted copies from being printed at 
    one time.

    Panel Lock
    This feature prevents unauthorized personnel from changing the settings made 
    by the administrator. For regular printing, items can be selected from the menu 
    and printer settings remain unchanged. For regular printing, items can be 
    configured using the printer driver.
     NOTE: Disabling the operator panel menus does not prevent access to the Stored 
    Print and Tray Settings menus.
    Enabling the Panel Lock
    1Press the   (Menu) button.
    2Press   button until Admin Menu appears, and then press the   (Set) 
    button.
    3Press   button until Secure Settings appears, and then press the  
    (Set)
     button.
    4Ensure that Panel Lock is displayed, and then press the  (Set) button.
    5Ensure that Panel Lock Set is displayed, and then press the  (Set) 
    button.
    Select User ID All 
    Documents*1Print and DelDeletes all documents from print 
    memory after printing them.
    PrintPrints all documents and save them 
    in memory.

    6Press  button until Enable appears, and then press the  (Set) button.
    7Enter the new password, and then press the  (Set) button.
    8Re-enter the password to confirm the password that you entered, and then 
    press the 
     (Set) button.
    The password has been changed.
     NOTE: If you forget your password, turn off the printer. Then, while holding the 
     (Menu) button, turn on the printer. Perform steps 7 to 8 to reset the password. 
     
    NOTE: If you change the password while Panel Lock is Enable, follow the 
    following steps. Perform steps 1 to 4 above. Press 
     button until Change 
    Password appears, and then press the   (Set) button. Perform steps 7 and 8 
    above to change the password. This will change the password
    .
    Disabling the Panel Lock
    1Press the   (Menu) button.
    2Press  button until Admin Menu appears, and then press the   (Set) 
    button.
    3Press  button until Secure Settings appears, and then press the  
    (Set)
     button.
    4Ensure that Panel Lock is displayed, and then press the   (Set) button.
    5Ensure that Panel Lock Set is displayed, and then press the   (Set) 
    button.
    6Ensure that Disable is displayed, and then press the  (Set) button.
    7Enter the current password, and then press the   (Set) button.
    The setting has been changed.
    Resetting Defaults
    After executing this function and rebooting the printer, all the menu parameters, 
    except the parameters for the network, are reset to their default values.
    When Using the Operator Panel
    1Press the   (Menu) button.
    2Press  button until Admin Menu appears, and then press the   (Set)

    3Press   button until Maintenance appears, and then press the   (Set) 
    button.
    4Press   button until Reset Defaults appears, and then press the   
    (Set) button.
    5Ensure that Are You Sure? is displayed, and then press the   (Set) 
    button.
    The printer is restarted automatically.
