    Printer Settings Report
    The Printer Settings Report tab contains the Menu Settings and Reports pages.
    Menu Settings
    Purpose:
    To display the current settings of your printer. 
    Va l u e s :
    System SettingsPower Saver 
    Ti mer - Sl eepDisplays the time taken by the printer before it 
    enters the power saver timer - sleep after it 
    finishes a job.
    Power Saver 
    Timer - Deep 
    SleepDisplays the time taken by the printer before it 
    enters the power saver timer - deep sleep after it 
    goes into the power saver timer mode 1.
    Auto ResetDisplays the time taken by the printer before it 
    automatically resets the settings for Copy, Scan, or 
    Fax on the operator panel to the defaults when no 
    additional settings are made.
    Control Panel 
    To n eDisplays the volume of the tone that is emitted 
    when the operator panel input is correct. Off 
    indicates that the tone is disabled.
    Pa n e l  A l e r t  
    To n eDisplays the volume of the tone that is emitted 
    when the operator panel input is incorrect. Off 
    indicates that the tone is disabled.
     Job ToneDisplays the volume of the tone that is emitted 
    when a job is complete. Off indicates that the 
    tone is disabled.
    Alert ToneDisplays the volume of the tone that is emitted 
    when a problem occurs. Off indicates that the 
    tone is disabled.
    Out of Paper 
    To n eDisplays the volume of the tone that is emitted 
    when the printer runs out of paper. Off indicates 
    that the tone is disabled.
    Auto Clear 
    Alert ToneDisplays the volume of the tone that is emitted 5 
    seconds before the printer performs auto clear. Off 
    indicates that the tone is disabled.

    All TonesDisplays the volume of all the alert tones. Off 
    indicates that all the tones are disabled.
    Job Time-OutDisplays the amount of time that the printer waits 
    for data to arrive from the computer.

    audibly monitors a transmission through the 
    internal speaker until a connection is made.
    Ring Tone

    indicates that an incoming call is a telephone call 
    through the internal speaker when Receive Mode 
    is set to Telephone/Fax.
    Line TypeDisplays the line type.

    Prefix Dial 
    NumberDisplays a prefix dial number. This number dials 
    before any auto dial number is started.

    Mode (ECM).
    Modem SpeedDisplays the fax modem speed.

    activity report after every 50 incoming and

    Purpose:
    To print the settings and history information of your printer.

    Ty p e  Displays the paper type setting of the MPF.

    SizeDisplays the paper size setting of the MPF.
    Tray 1 Custom 
    Size - YDisplays the length of custom size paper loaded in 
    the MPF.
    Tray 1 Custom 
    Size - XDisplays the width of custom size paper loaded in 
    the MPF.
    Display PopupDisplays whether to use a popup menu that 
    prompts the user to set Paper Type and Pa p e r  S i z e 
    when the paper is loaded in the MPF.

    Printer Settings
    The Printer Settings tab contains the System Settings, Secure Settings, Copy 
    Defaults
    , Copy Color Balance, Copy Settings, Scan Defaults, Fax  D e f au lt s, and Fa x

     pages.
    System Settings
    Purpose:
    To configure the basic printer settings.
    Va l u e s :Panel SettingsClick the Start button to print the panel settings page.
    Job HistoryClick the Start button to print the Job History report.
    Error HistoryClick the Start button to print the Error History report.
    Address BookClick the Start button to print the Address Book report.
    Demo PageClick the Start button to print the Demo Page.
    Power Saver 
    Timer - Sleep
    *1Specifies the time taken by the printer before it enters the power 
    saver timer mode 1 after it finishes a job.

    Secure Settings

    Purpose:
    To restrict access to Admin Menu with a password, and to set or change the 
    password.
     NOTE: This menu sets a password to lock the operator panel. When you change 
    the password for the Dell Printer Configuration Web Tool, click Set Password on the 
    left frame and set the password.
    Va l u e s :Auto Clear Alert 
    To n eSets the volume of the tone that is emitted 5 seconds before the 
    printer performs auto clear, or disables the tone.
    All TonesSets the volume of all the alert tones, or disables all the tones.
    Job Time-OutSpecifies the amount of time that the printer waits for data to 
    arrive from the computer. The print job is cancelled if it times out.
    Panel LanguageUsed to set the language on the operator panel.
    Auto Log Print
    *2Specifies if a job history needs to be printed after every 20 jobs.

    *3Specifies the measurement unit displayed after the numeric value 
    on the operator panel.
    *1  Enter 5 in Power Saver Timer - Sleep to put the printer in the power saver timer mode 
    five minutes after it finishes a job. This uses less energy, but requires more warm-up 
    time for the printer. Enter 5 if your printer shares an electrical circuit with room 
    lighting and you notice lights flickering.
    Select a high value if your printer is in constant use. In most circumstances, this 
    keeps the printer ready to operate with minimum warm-up time. Select a value 
    between 5 and 30 minutes for the power saver timer mode if you want a balance 
    between energy consumption and a shorter warm-up period.
    The printer automatically returns to the standby mode from the power saver timer 
    mode when it receives data from the computer. You can also return the printer to the 
    standby mode by pressing any button on the operator panel.
