311 W Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) Sel.Image Select and order images one by one. If you press the button and turn the < 6 > dial counterclockwise, you can select an image from a three-image display. To return to the single-image display, turn the < 6> dial clockwise. Press the < M> button to save the print order to the card. [Standard] [Both] Press < 0> and a print order for one copy of the displayed image will be placed. By turning the < 5> dial, you can set the quantity up to 99. [Index] Press < 0> to include images with a checkmark < X> in the index print. Byn Select [Mark all in folder ] and select the folder. A print order for one copy of all the images in the fol der will be placed. If you select [ Clear all in folder ] and select the folder, the print order for that entire folder will be canceled. All image If you select [ Mark all on card ], one copy of all the images on the card will be set for printing. If you select [ Clear all on card], the print order will be cleared for a ll the images on the card. Print Ordering Quantity Total images selected Index icon Checkmark Note that RAW images and movies will not be included in the print order even if you set “By n” or “All image.” When using a PictBridge printer, print no more than 400 images for one print order. If your print order specifies more imag es, some of the images may not be printed. COPY
312 With a PictBridge printer, you can easily print images with DPOF. 1Prepare to print. See page 300. Follow the “Connec ting the Camera to a Printer” procedure up to step 5. 2Under the [ 31] tab, select [Print order]. 3Select [Print]. [Print] will be displayed only if the camera is connected to a printer and printing is possible. 4Set the [Paper settings] (p.302). Set the printing effects (p.304) if necessary. 5Select [OK]. W Direct Printing with DPOF Before printing, be sure to set the paper size. Certain printers cannot im print the file number. If [Bordered ] is set, certain printers may imprint the date on the border. Depending on the printer, the date may appear faint if it is imprinted on a bright background or on the border. Under [ Adjust levels ], [Manual ] cannot be selected. If you stopped the printing and want to resume printing the remaining images, select [Resume ]. Note that printing will not resume if you stop the printing and any of the following occurs: • Before resuming the printing, you changed the print order or deleted print-ordered images. • When you set the index, you ch anged the paper setting before resuming the printing. • When you paused the printing, the card’s remaining capacity was low. 313 You can connect the camera to a personal computer and operate the camera to transfer images on the card to the personal computer. This is called direct image transfer. Direct image transfer is performed and controlled from the camera, with the interface displ ayed on the camera’s LCD monitor. The images transferred to the personal computer will be saved in the [Pictures] or [ My Pictures] folder and organized in folders by shooting date. Before connecting the camera to the personal computer, be sure to install the provided software (EOS DIGITAL Solution Disk on CD-ROM) on the personal computer. For the procedure to install the provided software, see page 411. 1Set the camera’s power switch to . 2Connect the camera to a personal computer. Use the interface cable provided with the camera. Connect the cable to the camera’s terminal with the cable plug’s < D> icon facing the front of the camera. 314 d Transferring Images to a Personal Computer 3Set the camera’s power switch to . When the personal computer prompts you to select a program, select [ EOS Utility ]. X The EOS Utility screen will appear on the personal computer. For RAW+JPEG images, you can specify which image to transfer. On the next page in step 2, select [ RAW+JPEG transfer ], and select the images to be transferred: [ JPEG only], [RAW only ], or [RAW+JPEG ]. 3 Transferring RAW+JPEG Images After the EOS Utility screen appears, do not operate EOS Utility. If any screen other than EOS Utility’s top screen is displayed, [Direct transfer] in step 5 on page 316 will not be displaye d. (The image transfer function will not be available.) If the EOS Utility scree n does not appear, refer to the Software Instruction Manual (CD-ROM, p.412). Before disconnecting the cable, turn off the camera. Hold the plug (not the cord) to pull out the cable. You can also transfer images to an ftp server via a wired LAN connected to the Ethernet RJ-4 5 terminal (p.21). For deta ils, refer to the separate “Wired LAN Instruction Manual.” The [ RAW+JPEG transfer ] setting will change automa tically in relation with the setting for [Communication settings ] → [Network settings ] → [Set up ] → [Transfer type/size ] → [RAW+JPEG transfer ]. 315 d Transferring Images to a Personal Computer Sel.Image 1Select [Image transfer]. Under the [ 32] tab, select [Image transfer ], then press < 0>. 2Select [Image sel./transfer]. Select [Image sel./transfer ], then press < 0>. 3Select [Sel.Image]. Select [Sel.Image ], then press . 4Select the images to be transferred. Turn the dial to select the image to be transferred, then press . Turn the < 5> dial to display < X> on the screen’s upper left, then press < 0 >. If you press the button and turn the dial counterclockwise, you can select an image from a three-image display. To return to the single-image display, turn the < 6> dial clockwise. To select other images to be transferred, repeat step 4. To return to the screen in step 3, press the < M> button. 3 Select the Images to be Transferred When [ Sel.Image ] is selected, you can check the image’s transfer status on the upper left of the sc reen: No mark: Not selected. X: Selected for transfer. l: Transfer failed. k: Transferred. The procedures for [RAW+JPEG transfer] on page 314 and steps 1 to 4 above can also be performed while the camera is not connected to a personal co\ mputer. COPY
316 d Transferring Images to a Personal Computer 5Transfer the image. On the computer screen, check that EOS Utility’s top screen is displayed. Select [Direct transfer ], then press < 0 >. On the confirmation screen, select [OK ] and the images will be transferred to the personal computer. Images selected with [ Sel.n] and [All image] can also be transferred this way. Sel. n Select [Sel. n] and select [ Folder images not transfer’d ]. When you select a folder, all the images in that folder not yet transferred to the personal computer will be selected. Selecting [Folder images failed transf. ] will select the images in the selected folder that failed to transfer. Selecting [Clear folder transf. history] will clear the transfer history of the images in the selected folder. After clearing the transfer history, you can select [ Folder images not transfer’d ] and again transfer all the images in the folder. All image If [All image] is selected and you select [ Card images not transferred ], all the images on the card not yet transferred to a personal computer will be selected. For a description of [ Card images failed transfer ] and [Clear card’s transf. history ], see “Sel.n ” above. If any screen other than EOS Utility’s top screen is displayed on the personal computer, [ Direct transfer] is not displayed. During the image transfer, certai n menu options cannot be used. You can also transfer movies. Up to 9,999 images can be transferred in one batch. Shooting is possible du ring the image transfer. COPY

(If the flash is ready to fire or if you switch to movie shooting, AE B will be canceled temporarily, but the AEB range will be retained.) COPY
