    The machine has three levels of default settings; the default settings have been set at the factory before 
    shipment (see Menu table on page 70).

    • You cannot modify the preset default settings.
    • Page counter can never be changed.

    If you want to reset only the print server back to its default settings (by resetting all network information such 
    as the password and IP address), follow these steps:
    aPress +  or - to choose  Network. Press OK.
    bPress +  or - to choose  Network Reset . Press OK.
    cPress +  to choose  Reset.
    dPress +  to choose  Yes. The machine will restart automatically.

    You can partially reset the machine back to its default printer settings. The settings that will not be reset are 
    the Interface , Local Language , Reprint , Set Registration , Setting Lock, Secure Function 
    Lock 2.0 and the Network settings:
    aPress +  or - to choose  Reset Menu . Press OK.
    bPress +  or - to choose  Factory Reset . Press OK.
    cPress +  to choose  Reset.

    This operation will reset all the machine settings back to the settings that were set at the factory:
    aDisconnect the network cable from the machine; otherwise the network settings (such as IP address) will 
    not be reset.
    bPress +  or - to choose  Reset Menu . Press OK.
    cPress +  and Cancel  at the same time. Press  OK after  Settings Reset  appears.
    dPress + to choose  Reset.
    ePress +  to choose  Yes. The machine will restart automatically.

    Color Calibration3
    The output density for each color may vary depending on the environment the machine is in, such as 
    temperature and humidity. Calibration helps you to improve the color density.
    Note
    If you print using the Windows® printer driver, the driver will get the calibration data automatically if both 
    Use Calibration Data  and Get Device Data Automatically are on. The default settings are on. See 
    Color Calibration  on page 38.
    If you print using the Macintosh printer driver, you need to perform the calibration using the Status Monitor. 
    After turning the Status Monitor on, choose  Color Calibration from Control  menu. See  Status Monitor  
    on page 60 for how to turn the Status Monitor on.

    When you manually set the color registration, you need to print the color registration chart. Then you are 
    required to set parameters to the machine in accordance with the instruction of the color registration chart.

    You can print the color registration chart to manually check the registration of the colors.
    aPress + or - to choose  Color Correction . Press OK.
    bPress +  or - to choose  Manual Regist. . Press OK.
    cPress +  or - to choose  Print Chart . Press OK.

    You can correct the color registration manually.
    aPress +  or - to choose  Color Correction . Press OK.

    dTo set the color registration, follow the instructions on Color Registration Chart.
    ePress OK .
    Frequency3
    You can set how often the color correction (Color Calibration and Auto Registration) occurs. Default setting 
    is Normal. The color correction process consumes some amount of the toner. 
    aPress + or - to choose  Color Correction . Press OK.
    bPress +  or - to choose  Frequency . Press OK.

    This machine has the following optional accessories. You can increase the capabilities of the machine with 
    these items.
    1HL-4570CDWT is equipped with the lower tray as standard equipment.
    Lower tray (LT-300CL)4
    One optional lower tray (Tray 2) can be installed, and the lower tray can hold up to 500 sheets of 80 g/m2 
    (21 lb) paper. When the optional tray is installed, the machine can hold up to 800 sheets of plain 80 g/m
    2 
    (21 lb) paper. If you want to buy the optional lower tray unit, call the dealer you bought the machine from or 
    Brother Customer Service.
     
    For setup, see the User’s Guide that we have supplied with the lower tray unit.
