When needed, your machine can print out lists containing 
the most important functions and settings of the machine. 
Press the key ¨ on the machine. Select with [ or ] 
whether you would like to print out the help page: 1 
functions list or the help page: 5 setup.

Ring Tone
Volume
With  the  function  18,  you  can  set  the  volume  of  the  ring 
tone.  ree  different  levels  of  volume  are  available  to  you. 
To turn off the ring tone entirely, select off. Your machine 
will  automatically  receive  incoming  faxes  without  ringing. 
If  your  machine  is  set  to  the  manual  reception  mode,  you 
can neither hear nor receive incoming fax calls (see chapter 
entitled Setting the Fax...

Locking the Machine
With the locking function, you can prevent unauthorised 
persons from using your machine. You can lock either the 
entire keyboard or the number pad of your machine.
Entering the Code
You must first enter a code for activating or deactivating 
the lock.
1 Press MENU/OK, 61 and OK.
2 Select locking  code  with [ or ] and 
confirm with OK.
3 Enter  a  four-digit  code  and  confirm  by  pressing OK.

Manual Mode
In MANUAL  mode,  you  must  manually  start  the  fax 
reception when you receive a fax call. In order to receive 
the  fax,  you  must  press START.  Automatic  reception 
is  not  possible  with  this  setting.  e Manual  mode  is 
useful  if  you  would  like  to  receive  faxes  on  a  connected 
computer.

In  the Fax  mode,  the  machine  will  ring  for  as  many

With the } key, you can access the telephone book 
functions.  You  can  store  new  entries,  search  for  entries 
as  well  as  set  and  edit  groups.  Your  machine’s  memory 
will  hold  approximately  200  entries;  the  exact  number 
depends  on  the  length  of  the  names  and  numbers.  e 
entries can be up to 20 characters in length.

book. Enter the initial letters or make your selection
