    Safety Precautions

    Remarks
*Caution: please consult the instruction manual to ensure safe and proper operation of the product.
Do not install the LCD projector in areas exposed to water, humidity, dust, oil or smoke or in close proximity to heat sources. Make sure the heat vents are not blocked. Fire, electrical shock or unit malfunction may
result if the above precautions are neglected. Do not look through the lens while projecting as damage to the eyes could result. Take special care when children are close by. Do not look at the laser beam coming out of
the remote control unit or direct the laser beam toward a person. Direct contact with the laser beam may cause damage to the eyes.
LCD panel manufacturing requires extremely high-precision technology with pixels having a 99.99% quality control rating. However, there does exist a 0.01% or smaller possibility of dead pixels or constantly lit pixels.
Please note that product colors in the brochure may differ slightly from those of actual products. All screen pictures in the catalog are simulated. Product appearance and specifications subject to change without notice.

The PLV-HD10 multimedia LCD projector uses Sanyos most advanced video,
optical and digital technologies to deliver precise, true HDTV 1080i projection.
With a high-contrast optical system that features three 1,920 x 1,080 pixel LCD panels,
12-bit progressive scanning and a trio of 3D digital circuits,
the PLV-HD10 provides the superior picture quality demanded in high-level professional applications.

    Higher Performance
    High-Intensity, High-Precision Projection
    High-Contrast Optical System
The PLV-HD10s optical system achieves outstanding 1,000:1 contrast.
This means easy-to-see images with deep, rich blacks that deliver the fu\
    ll
     viewing power of cinema sources.
Four-Lamp Optical System for 5,500-lm Brightness
Four 250-W UHP (1.35-mm short arc) lamps combine to provide 5,500 lumens of brightness. You can also
stack two PLV -HD10 units for even more powerful projection with double the brightness Ñ11,000 lm.
    Brightness uniformity exceeds 90%.
    High-Color-Purity Optical System
This advanced Sanyo system improves reproducibility of the three
primary colors (red, blue, and green) to deliver a superior overall co\
    lor
performance thats suitable for digital cinema.
    Real HDTV 1080i Projection
The PLV-HD10 employs three 1.65-inch TFT polysilicon LCD panels
(16:9 aspect ratio) with micro lenses. With 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in each panel
(for a total of 6,220,800 pixels), the PLV-H D10 can project native HDTV 1080i
    signals in full resolution.

    Selectable Lighting Modes
Two brightness modesÑhigh-brightness and economyÑlet you select the\
lighting mode thats best suited to the conditions and
your application. In high-brightness mode all four lamps are turned on. \
Economy mode gives you half the brightness but twice
the usable time. The PLV-HD10 includes a fail-safe function that automatically switches the mode\
     if a lamp is accidentally
turned off. It switches from four lamps to two, or from two lamps to one*.
    * A switchover to the one-lamp mode only occurs if an emergency should arise. In one-lamp mode\
, color and brightness correction is not performed.

Digital Technology for Superb Picture Quality
Beautiful Images from a Variety of Sources
    3D-AUCC Circuit
The 3D Automatic Uniformity Correction Control circuit provides precise compensation at some 7,425 points for smooth ,
natural gradation. Compared with conventional systems*, this provides more than 10 times the control over color problems
caused by a lack of brightness conformity. yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
    * Conventional AUCC circuits use 624 correction points.
    Crosstalk/Ghosting Canceller
This eliminates ghosts or after-images. The crosstalk canceller reduces signal
interference between the drive circuits on the liquid crystal panels. Line/dot
inversion helps reduce the signal interference between pixels.
    Triple 3-D Digital Circuits
The PLV-HD10 incorporates three 3-D digital circuits. A 3-D digital progressive circuit provides interlace/progressive conversion of
1080i signals. A 3-D digital Y/C separation circuit helps boost resolution and reduce noise, and a 3-D motion-adaptive digital noise
reduction circuit reduces signal interference between pixels.
    10-Bit Digital Gamma Correction
A 10-bit digital gamma correction control function provides smoother gradation
characteristics by adjusting the gradation according to the input image.
New Progressive Scan IC for Smoo th, Clear Moving Pictures
A newly developed progressive scan IC provides 12-bit processing of HDTV 1080i signals. Moving pictures are smooth
and clear thanks to Sanyos original motion adaptive line interpolation, which greatly improves jagged diagonal lines.
The PLV-HD10s full 2-3 pulldown compatibility assures superior viewing quality from film sources.
    Telecine Corrective I/P Conversion Technology
The PLV-HD10 detects when you input telecine images that have been converted from film to video, and faithfully reproduces the
original frames. To boost detection accuracy, it evaluates the motion of each pixel and then uses the cumulative value to determine
whether the image is telecine or conventional.
    Intelligent Sharpness Controller
This circuit uses gain-adaptive LTI (Luminance Transient Improvement), gain-adaptive CTI (Color
Transient Improvement), and gain-adaptive edge emphasizing technologies to sharpen the detail in areas
where the image signal is shallow, such as in ruled lines and in characters prone to generating bright lines.
The result is clearer, sharper images from both RGB and video sources.
    High-Quality I/P Conversion Technology
This technology reduces jaggedness in diagonal lines by adaptively complementing
pixels according to a diagonal correlation value determined from 33 horizontal and
4 vertical pixels. The pixel area sampled is optimized to improve the correlation
value and motion-detecting precision. This also improves jaggedness in lines that
are nearly horizontal Ñ something that was difficult in the past.

    							Supporting Various User Systems
    Superb Expandability
    Two lens adapters supplied.
    Multi-Versatile Interface Platform (MVIP) System
The PLV-HD10 has four slots for accommodating interface boards, which allows the user to interchange any of supplied board
with the desired optional board* The RS-232C input and cross-through output terminals are also provided for easy and flexible
    system conf iguration.
    Optional Network Board
Adding the optional network board enables more precise settings and remote operation than the control via the RS-232C interface.
    Power-Driven Lens Shift
The PLV-HD10s power-driven lens shift (up/down and left/right) is especially effective for projection with two units stacked.

    Real Color Management
This makes it easier to adjust the white balance and gamma curve adjustments: simply compare the projected images from the enclosed
CD-ROM* with the images on the enclosed photo sheet. Because you can view the image as you adjust the settings, its easy to attain
faithful color reproduction in almost any projection environment. This function also responds to professional needs by allowing precise
color settings using the gamma curve for each RGB color. Once settings are correct, you can store them on a PC** and later retrieve
    them for easy set-up.

    * Windows 98/Me/2000/XP ** One batch of settings can be saved in projector memory.
