21 BEFORE OPERATION HOW TO OPERATE ON-SCREEN MENU FLOW OF ON-SCREEN MENU OPERATION Display ON-SCREEN MENU Press MENU button to display ON-SCREEN MENU (MENU BAR). A red frame is POINTER. Move POINTER (red frame) to MENU ICON that you want to select by pressing POINT LEFT / RIGHT buttons. Adjust ITEM DATA by pressing POINT LEFT / RIGHT buttons. 23 BASIC OPERATION TURNING ON PROJECTOR TURNING OFF PROJECTOR TURNING ON / OFF PROJECTOR Power off? Message disappears after 4 seconds. Connect a projectors AC Power Cord into a wall outlet and turn MAIN ON/OFF SWITCH to ON. LAMP indicator lights RED, and READY indicator lights GREEN. Press POWER ON-OFF button on Side Control or on Remote Control Unit to ON. LAMP indicator dims, and Cooling Fans start to operate. Preparation Display appears on a screen and count- down starts. 24 BASIC OPERATION KEYSTONE ADJUSTMENT 1Press KEYSTONE button on Remote Control Unit or select Keystone on SETTING menu. (Refer to page 39.) Keystone dialog box appears. 2Correct keystone distortion by pressing POINT UP/DOWN button(s). Press POINT UP button to reduce upper part of image, and press POINT DOWN button to reduce lower part. To cancel FREEZE function, press FREEZE button again or press any other button except POINT UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and SELECT button. 27 COMPUTER INPUT This projector automatically tunes to most different types of computers based on VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, WXGA or UXGA (refer to “COMPATIBLE COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS” on page 51-52). 28 COMPUTER INPUT PC ADJUSTMENT AUTO PC ADJUSTMENT Auto PC Adjustment function is provided to automatically adjust Fine sync, Total dots and Picture Position to conform to your computer. However, some computers employ special signal formats which are different from standard ones and may not be tuned by Multi-Scan system of this projector.
