    Switching Between Video Sources
    Press the SOURCE button to switch between external devices connected to the TV. For example, to 
    switch to a game console connected to the second HDMI connector, press the SOURCE  button. The 
    Source List appears across the top of the screen. From the Source List, select  HDMI2.

    Other Functions Available When You Display the Source List
    A number of functions are available in the pop-up  Options menu when the TV displays the Source 
    List. The functions that appear in the Options  menu vary, depending on the source you selected in the 
    Source List and the external device connected to the source.
    To view the Options  menu, press the TOOLS  button or press and hold the 
    E button on the standard 
    remote. On the Samsung Smart Control, press and hold the touch pad or press the KEYPAD button, 
    and then select  TOOLS on the On-Screen Remote.
    The functions that appear in the Options  menu can include any of the following:
     
    ●Edit Name : Lets you assign a device name to an input source, for example, Blu-ray to HDMI1. To 
    assign a device name to an input source, follow these steps:
    11 Open the Source List. The list appears in a horizontal line across the top of the TV. Using your 
    remote, highlight the source you want to assign a device name to.
    21 Select  Edit Name  in the Options  menu. The on-screen keyboard appears.
    31 Using the keyboard, enter a new name. You can enter up to 15 characters.
    41 When finished, select  DONE on the keyboard, and then press the touch pad or the 
    E button.
     
    ●Information : View information about the connected devices.
     
    ●Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) : Displays a list of Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)-compliant devices that are 
    connected to the TV.

    This option is only available when  Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is set to On.

    Remove USB: Use to safely remove a USB device connected to the TV. This option is only 
    available when a USB device has been selected.
     
    ●Delete: Use to delete an external device from a source. When you delete an external device 
    from a source, you erase the information the TV has stored about the device and you delete the 
    association the device has with the source.
    The Universal Remote Function
    When you display the Source List, the Universal Remote Setup  button is displayed in the upper right 
    corner of the screen. Select this button to start the Universal Remote function. The Universal Remote 
    function lets you control cable boxes, Blu-ray players, home theaters, and other external devices using 
    your TV remote control. Refer to the "Controlling External Devices with the TV Remote - Using the 
    Universal Remote" section for more information on using the Universal Remote function.

    Installing Batteries into the Samsung Smart Control
    To use the Samsung Smart Control, insert the batteries into the device referring to the figure below.
    11 Gently pull on the notch in the battery cover. When the cover comes loose, remove the cover 
    completely.
    21 Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries, making sure to align the positive and negative polarities correctly.
    31 Place the battery cover on the remote control, and then press the top part of the cover into the 
    remote control.
    41 Press the catches on both sides of the battery cover in the order shown in the figure above until 
    the cover is completely attached to the remote control.
    The Low Battery Alarm Window
    If the Samsung Smart Control's batteries become low, the Low Battery Alarm appears on the screen. 
    When the Alarm appears, replace the batteries. We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer 
    operating life.

    Pairing the Samsung Smart Control
    To use the Samsung Smart Control with the TV, you must first pair it to the TV via Bluetooth. To pair 
    the Samsung Smart Control to the TV for the first time:
    Turn on the TV by pointing the Samsung Smart Control at the remote control sensor of the TV, and 
    then pressing the TV button. The TV and Samsung Smart Control pair automatically.

    The Samsung Smart Control can only connect to one TV at a time.

    Reconnecting the Samsung Smart Control
    If the Samsung Smart Control stops operating or works abnormally, try replacing the batteries. If the 
    problem persists, pair the Samsung Smart Control and TV again.
    11 Move to between 1 foot and 13 feet of the TV (30cm to 4m), and then aim the Samsung Smart 
    Control at the TV's remote control sensor.

    21 Press the RETURN  and GUIDE  buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.
    31 The Connection in Progress icon appears on the screen. A few moments later, the Connected icon

    Using the Samsung Smart Control
    The Samsung Smart Control makes it easier and more convenient to use the TV. Unlike conventional 
    remote controls that feature buttons only, the Samsung Smart Control has a motion sensor (gyro 
    sensor) that allows you to control the TV easily by holding and moving the Samsung Smart Control. If 
    you press the KEYPAD button, an On-Screen Remote appears on the screen that allows you to enter 
    numbers, control content, and use functions easily.

    We recommend using the Samsung Smart Control at a distance of less than 20 feet (6m). The usable 
    distance may vary depending on the wireless environmental conditions.

    TV Turns the TV on and off.
    SEARCH Press this button to search for information through the search window available 
    in various services.
    KEYPAD Displays the On-Screen Remote. With the On-Screen Remote on the screen, 
    you can easily enter numbers, control content, and use functions. For more 
    information, refer to the "Displaying and Using the On-Screen Remote" section.
    SOURCE Changes the source.

    VOL Changes the volume.
    VOICE Starts voice recognition. When the microphone icon appears on the screen, 
    speak a voice command into the microphone. Say "Help" to learn about basic 
    usage and voice commands.

    appropriate volume. 
    ¢ Turns the sound off and on.
    CH Changes the channel.

    Touch pad Place a finger on the touch pad and move the Samsung Smart Control. The 
    pointer on the screen moves in the same direction. Press the touch pad to select 
    or run the focused item. For more information, refer to the "Using the Touch Pad

    … Controls video, photo, or music file playback on the TV. You can also use these 
    buttons to control the playback of content on an external device (for example, a

    RETURN Returns to the previous menu. Additionally, when you press this button while 
    watching TV, you can return to the previous channel.
    SMART HUB Launches Smart Hub's First Screen. From this panel, you can search through 
    favorite apps, channels, or sources and quickly access previously run or 
    frequently used functions. You can also use services provided on each Smart Hub 
    panel.
    GUIDE Displays the digital channel broadcasting schedule. For more information, refer 
    to the "Digital Broadcast Information at a Glance" section.
    3D Turns the 3D function on or off.

    MTS Press to choose stereo, mono, or Separate Audio Program (SAP broadcast).
    CC Displays captions. Controls the caption decoder.
    P.SIZE Lets you choose the picture size.

    Additional Functions
    Press and hold the following buttons for 1 second to use additional functions.

    Touch pad When you use the on screen keyboard, press and hold the touch pad instead of 
    selecting the 
    DONE button to finish entering characters and return to the previous 
    screen. 
    RETURN  (EXIT)
    Press and hold the RETURN  button to exit all currently running applications
    GUIDE  (CH.LIST )
    Press and hold to launch the Channel List .
    ¢ Press and hold to turn on or turn off the Voice Guide

    Caption , High Contrast, and  Enlarge functions.

    Operating the TV by Moving the Samsung Smart Control
    The Samsung Smart Control has a motion sensor (gyro sensor) that lets you control the TV easily by 
    moving the Samsung Smart Control and using it much like a cordless mouse.
    Place a finger on the Samsung Smart Control's touch pad. A pointer appears on the screen. Move the 
    Samsung Smart Control, and pointer moves on the screen in the direction you moved the Samsung 
    Smart Control and the same distance. Highlight an item on the screen with the pointer, and then press 
    the touch pad to select it.
    You can also move the Smart Touch in the same fashion to scroll scrollable screens up and down.

    When you remove your finger from the touch pad, the pointer disappears.

    Using the Touch Pad and the Directional Buttons
    The touch pad and directional buttons on the Samsung Smart Control let you select and launch items 
    and move the cursor, focus, or panels on the screen.

    In the TV's menu, navigate to Support >  Smart Control Tutorial to view a tutorial that shows how to use the 
    touch pad. Try Now
    If the touch pad's sensitivity is too high or low, navigate to the System >  Smart Control Settings 
    menu, and then select the Touch Sensitivity  option to change the touch pad sensitivity.

    Moving the Focus or Pointer
    Press the directional buttons (up, down, left, and right) to move the focus, pointer, or cursor in the 
    direction you want.
    Entering a Menu / Selecting an Item
    To enter a menu or select an item, highlight the item or the menu title, or move the pointer over it, and 
    then press the touch pad.
    Loading the CH List
    Press and hold the touch pad while watching TV. To launch the CH List.

    Displaying a Context-sensitive Menu in Smart Hub
    In Smart Hub, highlight an item, and then press and hold the touch pad. The context-sensitive menu 
    for the item pops up.

    Changing the Smart Hub Panel
    On the Smart Hub screen, drag left or right on the touch pad to display the previous or next panel.
    Scrolling on the Web Browser

    Displaying and Using the On-Screen Remote
    Press the KEYPAD button on the Samsung Smart Control to display the On-Screen Remote on the 
    TV's screen. Use the On-Screen Remote to enter numbers, control content playback, and use the 
    features and functions of the TV, just like a real remote.

    Lets you switch channels by entering channel numbers directly. Select Pre-CH to 
    return to the previous channel.

    MENU Displays the TV's menu on the screen.
    Speaker Settings Lets you select the speakers which will play the TV's audio. You must connect a 
    home theater or amplifier with external speakers to the TV to use this function.
