❒When connecting a digital camera to the printer via USB, the USB port of the
USB host interface board is required.
❒Before handling the USB host interface board, ground yourself by touching

❒The printers ethernet and USB ports are not available when the gigabit eth-
ernet board is attached to the printer. Instead, you can use the ethernet port
and USB port mounted on the board.

CDisconnect the cables from the ethernet port and the USB port of the print-
er, and cover each port with its protective cap.
DLoosen the two screws and remove the cover of the Gigabit ethernet board
installation unit.
The removed cover is not used when installing the interface unit.
