5.1 Reset procedure—default settings
The KX-HGW600 has two buttons on the rear side of the unit. These two buttons are
used to initialize or restart the KX-HGW600.
To initialize the KX-HGW600
When you forget the KX-HGW600 password ( Page 110) or when you need to clear
all the settings of the KX-HGW600, push and hold the FACTORY DEFAULT RESET
button for a few seconds.
The settings are cleared and initialized to the default settings ( Page 134).

5.2 Wall mounting
The KX-HGW600 can be mounted on a wall.
1.Install the two-paired screws and washers (included accessories) into the wall
using the wall template.
2.Mount the unit on the screws, then slide it down.

5.3 Proxy Server Setting
Some ISP’s WWW sites are connected to the web browser via a proxy server.
The Setup Page cannot be connected to the web browser via the proxy server.
In this case, change the web browser setting as follows.
1.Start up the Internet Explorer. (The window is for Internet Explorer 6.)
2.Click[Tools] [Internet Options...] [Connections tab].

Confirm theUse a proxy server for your LANcheck box.
When checked, clear the check box, and click[OK].

In a wireless network, data security is maintained using the following three functions.
According to your security needs, use any combination of these security options and
strengthen your security.

5.5 TCP/IP Properties Setup
To access the Camera Portal page using a web browser, you must set the TCP/IP
network protocol in each PC and enable the DHCP server function. Follow the steps
below and set up the PC.

5.6 Confirmation of private IP address
Private IP address is the network ID which is not used on the Internet. It is classified into
Class A, Class B and Class C shown in the following table. Please set the IP address in
the range of the number specified in the class meeting to your local network scale.
