*12 This setting is available when you have the key detector (KX-TGA20). Read the installation m anual for more information on the key detector. *13 For models with supplied key detectors, the display shows “ 1: Detector1 ”. *14 If you register 2 or more key detectors. *15 If you subscribe to a Caller ID service and want to view the caller’s information after lifting up the handset to answer a call, turn off this feature. *16 The flash time depends on your telephone exchange or host PBX. Contact your PBX supplier if necessary. The setting should stay at “700 ms ” unless pressing MFLASH N fails to pick up the waiting call. *17 Generally, the line mode setting should not be changed. This setting automatically maintains receiver volume at the proper level depending on the current telephone line condition. Set the line mode to “A ” if telephone line condition is not good. Alarm A n alarm sounds at the set time for 1 minute and repeats 5 times at 5 minute intervals (snooze function). You can also configure the alarm to display a text memo. You can set 3 separate alarms for each handset. Each alarm can be set to sound once, daily, or weekly. When an alarm sounds, the message indicator flashes rapidly if the handset message indicator’s “Alarm ” setting is enabled (page 31). Important: R Make sure the unit’s date and time setting is correct (page 24). 1 MMENU N#720 2 Mb N: Select the desired alarm. a M SELECT N 3 Mb N: Select the desired alarm option. a M SELECT N “ O ff ” Turns alarm off. Go to step 10. “ O nce ” An alarm sounds once at the set time. “ D aily ” An alarm sounds daily at the set time. Go to step 5. “ W eekly ” Alarm sounds weekly at the set time(s). 4 P roceed with the operation according to your selection in step 3. nOnce: Enter the desired month and date. a M OK N n Weekly: M b N: Select the desired day of the week and press MSELECT N. a M OK N 5 Set the desired time. 6 *: Select “AM ” or “PM ”. a M OK N 7 Enter a text memo (10 characters max.). a M OK N 8 Mb N: Select the desired alarm tone. a M SELECT N R If you select one of the ringers (“ Ringer 1 ” to “Ringer 5 ”), select the desired frequency ( “Frequency 1 ” to “Frequency 6 ”).
