For maximum distance and noise free operation,the recommended base unit location is: Away from electrical appliances such as TVs, radios, or personal computers.In a HIGH and CENTRAL location with no obstructions such as walls. Raise the antenna vertically. Display Slowly place the handset on the cradle vertically (), then lean it back (). lAbeep will sound and the following will be displayed for an instant time on the base unit. Display: The display will show the date and time. lIf the base unit is in use, a beep may not sound and the above display may not be shown.CHARGING 21 Handset Charge contacts 12Place the handset on the cradle of the base unit for about 4 hours before initial use.
