5Insert the paper input tray into the unit.
Note:
LIf the paper is not loaded correctly, re-adjust 
the paper guides, or the paper may jam.
LIf the paper input tray does not close, the 
plate in the paper input tray may be lifted. 
Push the paper and check that the paper is 
flat in the paper input tray.

2Insert the paper, print-side down (1) until 
the unit grasps the paper and a single beep 
is heard.
LAdjust the width of the guides (2) to the 
size of the recording paper.
Note:
LIf the paper is not inserted correctly, re-adjust 
the paper, or the paper may jam.
LMake sure the unit grasps the recording 
paper in step 2. The display shows the

depending on your telephone line service.

The logo can be your name or the name of your 
company.

3.1 Using the unit as a fax 
machine
3.1.1 Entering the fax mode
Before sending a fax, set the operation mode to 
the fax mode.
Press {FA X} to turn the {FA X} light ON.
Note:
LYou can change the default operation mode 
(feature #463 on page 60) and the timer 
before returning to the default operation 
mode (feature #464 on page 60).
LReceived documents will be stacked on the 
lower output tray. You can change the output 
tray for faxing (Feature #441 on page 63)...
