Do not disassemble or modify the wall mount adaptor. Tightening up the mo\gunting \fcrew\f p Tighten up the scre\g ws and bolts secure\gly to the degree that is appropriate for each of the mat\gerials used in the mounting location a\gnd structures. p After tightening up\g the scre ws and bolts, check that there is no unsteadiness \gand that the parts have been tightened securely. p Use the specified t\gools and tighten the\g scre ws firmly. p Tighten up the scre\g ws using the specif\gied torque driver. Do not use electrical drivers or impact drivers. When the unit i\f no\g \bonger going to be u\fed,\g do not \beave it \bying around, but be ab\fo\bute\by \fure to di\fpo\fe of it proper\by. For details on how to remove the unit, refer to “Removing the camera” (page 15). When in\fta\b\bing, tran\fferring or di\fpo\fing \gof the unit, be ab\fo\bute\by \fure to ho\bd it b\gy it\f pede\fta\b area.\g Problems may result if the ca\gmera head is held or ro\gtated. Do not attach a fi\bter, hood, extender or other p\gart\f to the unit. U\fe the dedicated A\gC adaptor and power cab\be provided with the unit. \fonnect the A\f adaptor and power cable to the power inlet securely. In\fta\b\bing the AC adaptor p Do not place the a\gdaptor directly onto\g a ceiling panel or\g other such surf ace. Extreme danger is po\gsed when water has collected \gon the surface as a result of\g leaking rain, for instance. Secure the adaptor \gfirmly to the bottom \gor other surface of a reinforcing member made o\gf channel steel wh\gere dust and other foreign matter will \gnot accumulate. (Refer to page 12.) p Secure the adaptor \gfir mly so that there \gwill be no chance \g that it will fall off or fall down. Secure it using a s\gtrength which can w\githstand the mass (approx. 340 g [0.75 lb]) of the A\f adaptor. In\fta\b\b the acce\f\fory AC adaptor near the\g main power out\bet, and po\fition it in\g \fuch a way that it\f power p\bug can be p\bugged into and unp\bugged from the out\bet ea\fi\by. When connecting the\g A\f adaptor to a power outlet on the ceiling or on any other surface where dust may collect, wipe off the dust on the\g power plug at periodic intervals as an anti- tracking measure. Power \fwitch This unit does not \ghave a power switch. The power turns on when its power plug is connecte\gd to a power outlet. When the power is turned on, the pan, ti\glt, zoom and focusing operations are performed. Before proceeding with \g maintenance, be absolutely su\gre to disconnect th\ge power plug from the power outlet. Connecting the power cab\be Be absolutely sure\g to connect the po\gwer cable of the A\f adaptor through a ci\grcuit breaker using one of the\g following methods. (1) \fonnect the po wer cable through a power control unit. (2) \fonnect the po wer cable to a circuit br\geaker in a power distribution panel with a\g contact distance o\gf 3.0 mm or more. Use a circuit brea\gker which is capable of shutting off all the poles \gof the main power supply with the\g exception of the pr\gotective ground conductor. (3) Install the A \f adaptor near the po\gwer outlet, and connect it through \gthe power plug. Grounding Before using the unit,\g check that the grounding wire has been fastened securely. If there i\f a po\f\fib\gi\bity of noi\fe inte\grference Either wire the ca\gbles so that the po\gwer cable (ceiling light cord) of A\f 100 V* [A \f 220 V**] or more , and the signal cable are placed at le\gast 1 meter (3.3 ft) apart. Alternatively run each cable through its own metal conduit. (The metal conduits must be grounded.) * : For AW- HE60HN, AW- HE60SN ** : For AW- HE60HE, AW- HE60SE Radio \figna\b interference If the unit is pos\gitioned near a TV or radio transmitting antenna or a stron\gg electrical field or magnet\gic field (such as that generated by a motor, transformer or power lines), its images may be distorted and/or the image\gs may be affected by noise. When connecting the \gcab\be\f, en\fure that the co\gnnector area\f wi\b\b not be \fu\gbject to any \boad. Doing so may cause malfunctio\gning. A\b\bowing the generated heat to e\g\fcape This unit allows the heat generated inside to escap\ge from its surfaces. Do not install the unit in a location where it will be surrounded by walls or other surf\gaces and where heat\g will be trapped. In addition, the heat i\gs dissipated to the \gbottom panel which\g will warm up over time: This is normal and not indicati\gve of any trouble. IMPORTANT pThe product name and it\f e\g\bectrica\b rating\f are\g marked on it\f botto\gm pane\b.
8 How to in\fta\b\b and con\gnect the unit Be ab\fo\bute\by \fure to read through the “Read thi\f fir\ft!” (page 5) and “In\fta\b\bation precau\gtion\f” (page\f 6 to 7). The procedure giv en here is for the kind of inst\gallation where the\g unit is suspended f\grom an overhead surface, but the same steps are followed for a stand-alone in\gstallation. If the cei\bing pane\b\g i\f not \ftrong enough to bear \gthe unit’\f weight, u\fe the kind of mo\gunt bracket that i\f \fupported by anchor bo\bt\f between t\ghe concrete cei\bing a\gnd cei\bing pane\b.
