    It is possible to change the date and time display mode.
    ≥The date and time are not displayed while the recording mode sw itching icon is displayed. (l16)
    ≥ When the Touch Shutter is enabled, the recording mode switching  icon is constantly displayed. 
    This causes the date and time to disappear from the screen.
    It is possible to change the date format.
    You can set the display method of the zoom button icons ( / ) and  recording button icon 
    ().

    When about 5 minutes have passed without any operation, this unit automatically turns off to save 
    battery life.
    ≥ This unit will not automatically turn off even if [ECONOMY (BAT T)] is set to [ON] in following 
    cases:
    j Using the AC adaptor*
    j Using the USB cable for PC etc.
    j PRE-REC is used
    j During slide show playback
    j Using the Wi-Fi function
    * When [ECONOMY (AC)] is activated, this unit automatically turn s off.
    When about 15 minutes have passed without any operation while co nnecting AC adaptor with this 
    unit, this unit automatically turns off.
    ≥ This unit will not automatically turn off even if [ECONOMY (AC)] is set to [ON] in following cases:
    jUsing the USB cable for PC etc.
    j PRE-REC is used
    j During slide show playback
    j Using the Wi-Fi function
    Touch screen operation, starting and stopping of recording and  unit on/off can be confirmed with this 
    sound.
    When [OFF] is selected, the sound is not output at the start/en d of recording, etc.
    2 Beeps for 4 times

    You can change the operation icons (l58) to display in the Touch Menu.
    Register 3 favorite operation icons.
    ≥ The default settings are,   (Fade),   (PRE-REC) and   (Backlight C ompensation) for 
    Motion Picture Recording Mode, and   (Self-timer),   (Backlight C ompensation) and   
    (Tele Macro) for Still Picture Recording Mode.
    1 Select the menu.
    2 Touch the operation icon you would like to change to cancel the  setting.
    3 Touch the operation icon to be set.
    ≥Name of the function is displayed by touching and holding on th e operation icon.
    ≥ To cancel, touch the operation icon again.
    4 Touch [ENTER].
    This makes it easier to view the LCD monitor in bright places i ncluding outdoors.
    ≥ These settings will not affect the images actually recorded.
    ≥When the AC adaptor is in use, the LCD monitor is set to   autom atically.
    ≥ Recordable time with the battery is shortened when the LCD is m ade brighter.
    It adjusts brightness and color density on the LCD monitor.

    Set the file number of the MP4/iFrame and still picture recorded next to 0001.

    calculated as 1 GB=1,000,000,000 bytes. The capacities of this u nit, PCs and software are 
    expressed as 1 GB=1,024 k1,024 k1,024=1,073,741,824 bytes. Therefore, the indicated value of 
    the capacity appears to be smaller.

    This item is used to start the unit demonstration.
    ≥ If [DEMO MODE] is switched to [ON] and you touch [EXIT] when th ere is no SD card inserted and 
    while this unit is connected to the AC adaptor, the demonstrati on automatically starts.
    If any operation takes place, the demonstration is canceled. Ho wever if no operations take place 
    for approx. 10 minutes, the demonstration automatically starts again. To stop the demonstration, 
    set [DEMO MODE] to [OFF] or insert an SD card.
    This item is used to start the Optical Image Stabilizer demo.
    ≥ Touch [O.I.S. DEMO], the demonstration automatically starts.
    When you touch [EXIT], the demonstration will be canceled.
    This item is displayed only when an Eye-Fi card is inserted.

    You can connect this unit and a PC with the USB cable and check software information (License) on 
    the PC.
    1 Select the menu.
    2 Connect this unit to a PC.
    ≥A message will be displayed when the connection is complete. On  the PC, check [LICENSE.TXT].≥When using the battery, the LCD monitor turns off after about 5 seconds. Touch the screen to turn 
    the LCD monitor on.
    ≥ Do not use any other USB cables except the supplied one. (Opera tion is not guaranteed with any 
    other USB cables.)

    ≥ Maximum zoom ratio for recording motion pictures can be set wit h [ZOOM MODE]. (l63)

    The zoom bar is displayed during the zoom operation.
    ∫About the zoom speed
    ≥The zoom speed varies depending on the range over which the zoo m lever is moved.
    ≥ The zoom operation using the zoom button icons will be performe d at a constant speed 
    respectively.
    Zoom ratio during the Still Picture Recording Mode
    The zoom ratio can be expanded up to 100 k without degrading the picture quality for the Still 
    Picture Recording Mode. (Extra Optical Zoom)
    ≥ Maximum zoom ratio in Still Picture Recording Mode varies depen ding on the setting of 
    [PICTURE SIZE]. ( l69)
    ≥If you take your finger off the zoom lever during zoom operatio n, the operation sound may be 
    recorded. When returning the zoom lever to the original positio n, move it quietly.
    ≥ When the zoom magnification is at its maximum, the subjects are  focused at about 2.2 m 
    (7.2 feet) or more.
    ≥ When the zoom magnification is 1 k, this unit can focus on a subject approx. 2 cm (0.8 q) away 
    from the lens.

    This function detects the horizontal tilt of the unit, and automatically corrects it to the level 
    position.
    ≥ The icon changes when the tilt exceeds the correction range.
    ≥ When the tilt exceeds the correction range, move the unit to th e position where  /  is

    ≥ The range that this icon can be displayed correctly the slope i s about 45o to the horizontal
