English 21 Advanced Operation ❑ Calling back A call-back call can be made. However, the callback function is disabled after disconnecting Bluetooth communication. (e.g. communication disconnection between the Bluetooth unit and mobile phone, and communica- tion disconnection by turning off the power of the Head unit) Step 1 Press the [Hang-on]after a call comes in. Step 2 Confirm the telephone number on the Head unit. Step 3 Press the [Hang-on]to make a call. (Press [Hang-up]to activate cancellation.) Note: Some mobile phones cannot display the telephone num- ber of an incoming call or call back. ❑ Rejection of incoming calls Press the [Hang-up]to reject an incoming call. ❑ Disconnection of Bluetooth You can disconnect Bluetooth temporarily. Disconnection Press and hold the [Hang-up]. for more than 2 seconds until the indicator putting out (approximately 2 seconds ) to reject call on this unit. Reconnection Press [Hang-on]. The LED turns from blinking to perma- nent. Note: You cannot disconnect Bluetooth in the talking state but end a call.

Main Unit q Peel off the back papers Fix the cable with the Cable Clamp u.Sun visor Attach the Microphone with Bracket eby clipping on the sun visor etc.Peel off the back papers Switch Unit w Caution ¡Make sure that wiring is completed before installation. ¡Do not install the product where it is exposed to strong vibrations or is unstable. Avoid slanted or strongly curved surfaces for installation. If the installation is not stable, the unit may fall down while driving and this can lead to an accident or injury.

26 Troubleshooting If You Suspect Something Wrong Check and take steps as described below. If the described suggestions do not solve the problem, it is recommended to take the unit to your nearest authorized Panasonic Servicenter. The product should be serviced only by qualified personnel. Please refer the checking and the repair to professionals. Panasonic shall not be liable for any accidents arising out of neglect of checking the unit or your own repair after your checking.Warning ¡Do not use the unit in an irregular condition, for exam- ple, without sound, or with smoke or a foul smell, which can cause ignition or electric shock. In case that such conditions occur, immediately stop using this unit and consult your dealer. ¡Never try to repair the unit by yourself because it is dan- gerous to do so. The paired mobile phone cannot be automatically reconnected. The Bluetooth function of the mobile phone is disabled. (Some mobile phones are turned off in a predetermined time in the power-saving mode or the like.) ●Refer to the operating instructions for the mobile phone and change the setting. The mobile phone is selected to the setting so that automatic reconnection is not per- mitted. ●Refer to the operating instructions for the mobile phone and change the setting. Bluetooth connection is lost by key operation.●Establish Bluetooth connection again by key operation.✽ If Bluetooth connection is not successfully established, delete “CY-BT100” from the mobile phone pairing list, and try pairing again. English 27 Failure to pair a mobile phone There is the other wireless equipment near the unit.●Switch off the other wireless equipment or keep it away from these bluetooth units. The mobile phone (or main unit) is touched or covered by metal objects. Or the mobile phone is hidden or far from the main unit. ●Move the mobile phone (or main unit) away from metal objects or from the hiding position. ✽ Consult your dealer to move the main unit. The mobile phone is not HFP (Hands Free Profile)-ready even it is Bluetooth-ready.●Use an HFP-ready and Bluetooth-ready mobile phone in consideration of each version. The Link key of this unit is different from the Link key of the mobile phone.●Delete “CY-BT100” from the mobile phone pairing list, and try pairing again. Problem Possible cause aPossible solution The mobile phone cannot be automatically connected.Some mobile phone models fail to connect automatically via Bluetooth.●Once turn off the power of the mobile phone and turn on the power again.✽ If Bluetooth connection is not successfully established, delete “CY-BT100” from the mobile phone pairing list, and try pairing again.
28 The hands-free voices accompany the echo or howling.Distance between the microphone and the speaker is too short.●Keep sufficient distance between the microphone and the speakers or decrease the volume of voice (Refer to the manual of your Head unit.). ✽ Echo may be produced depending on the line status or mobile phone to be used. The Hands-Free Kit featuring Bluetooth® technology cannot receive a call. The head unit is set to OFF.●Turn on the power of the head unit. The Hands-Free Kit featuring Bluetooth®technology is set to the disconnection mode.●Cancel the disconnection mode. Your mobile phone is out of service area.●Drive your car to the service area of your mobile phone. Bluetooth connection is disconnected. (The blue indicator does not light up.)●Establish Bluetooth connection again. The mobile phone is selected to the setting so that the ring volume is zero such as the manner mode. ●Refer to the operating instructions for the mobile phone and change the setting. (The ringtone of some mobile phones does not come from the speakers mounted in a car but only from the mobile phones.) Troubleshooting (continued) Problem Possible cause aPossible solution
English 29 The voice quality of hands-free is low (Distortion, noise etc.). There is another wireless device near the unit.●Switch off the wireless device or keep it away from these bluetooth units. Distance between the Hands-Free Kit featuring Bluetooth®technology and the mobile phone is too long or by contraries, too short. ●Keep proper distance between the Hands-Free Kit featuring Bluetooth®technology and the mobile phone. The reception condition of the mobile phone is poor, or the line status is bad.●Use the mobile phone in areas with good reception condition. Telephone conversation is suspended. Receiving condition of your mobile phone is bad.●Drive your car to the place where receiving condition is good and park your car in a safe place with parking brake used, and then you make a call. The phone conversation is hard to hear.If you and the person on the other end of the line talk at the same time, you may have difficulty to hear his or her voice, and vise versa. (This is not machine failure.) ●The telephone conversation should be conducted alternately. Problem Possible cause aPossible solution
30 Troubleshooting (continued) A call-back call cannot be made. Some mobile phones do not send Bluetooth data even if incoming calls are indicated on the screen of your mobile phone. ●A call-back call cannot be made. The calling party activates the caller ID blocking function.●A call-back call cannot be made. An international call was received.●A call-back call may not be made internationally depending on a contract with the mobile phone company. Check the contract. Talking volume is low or noisy. (claim from the person on the other end of the line) Distance between the microphone and the talker is too long or the connection of micro- phone is not proper. ●Make the microphone closer to the talker. Or connect the microphone’s connector properly. The window is open, or the air conditioner blows air to the microphone.●Close the window, change the air direction from the air conditioner, or change the microphone position.
