    Playback/Editing
    DPOF “Digital Print Order Format” is a system that allows the user to select which pictures to 
    print, how many copies of each picture to print and whether or not to print the recording date on 
    the pictures when using a DPOF compatible photo printer or photo printing store. For details, 
    ask at your photo printing store.
    When you want to use a photo printing store to print pictures recorded on the built-in memory, 
    copy them to a card  (P104) and then set the print setting.

    1Select [Print Set] on the [Playback] menu.  (P41)
    2Press 3/4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    4Press 3/4 to set the number of prints, and then press [MENU/SET] to 
    set.
    •When [MULTI] has been selected, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each picture. (It is not possible to 
    use the same setting for a multiple number of pictures.)
    •Exit the menu after it is set.

    ∫To print the date
    After setting the number of prints, set/cancel printing with the recording date by pressing 
    [DISP.].
    •
    Depending on the photo printing store or the printer,  the date may not be printed even if you set to 
    print the date. For further information, ask at your photo printing store or refer to the operating 
    instructions for the printer.
    •The date cannot be printed on pictures with date or text stamped.
    Note
    •The number of prints can be set from 0 to 999.
    •Depending on the printer, the date print settings of the printer may take precedence so check if this 
    is the case.
    •It may not be possible to use the print settings with other equipment. In this case, cancel all the 
    settings, and reset the settings.
    •[Print Set] cannot be set for motion pictures.
    •If the file is not based on the DCF standard, the print setting cannot be set.

    Playback/Editing
    You can set protection for pictures you do not want to be deleted by mistake.
    1Select [Protect] on the [Playback] menu. (P41)
    2Press 3/4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].

    Note
    •The protect setting may not be effective on other equipment.
    •Even if you protect pictures in the built-in memo ry or a card, they will be deleted if the built-in 
    memory or the card is formatted.
    •Even if you do not protect pictures on a card, they cannot be deleted when the card’s Write-Protect 
    switch is set to [LOCK].

    You can copy the data of the pictures you have taken from the built-in memory to a card or from 
    a card to the built-in memory.
    1Select [Copy] on the [Playback] menu. (P41)
    2Press 3/4 to select the copy destination and then press 
    [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. 
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •Do not turn the camera off at any point during the copying process.
    Note
    •If a picture exists with the same name (folder number/file number) as the picture to be copied in the 
    copy destination when [ ] is selected, a new folder is created and the picture is copied. If a 
    picture exists with the same name (folder number/file number) as the picture to be copied in the copy 
    destination when [ ] is selected, that picture is not copied.
    •It may take time to copy the picture data.•[Print Set], [Protect] or [Favorite] settings will not be copied. Perform the settings again after copying 
    is finished.
    [Copy]
    [] ([IN>SD]): All the picture data in the built-in memory are copied onto the card 
    at one time.
    [] ([SD>IN]): One picture at a time is copied from the card to the built-in memory.
    Press  2/1  to select the picture and then press [MENU/SET].

    What you can do with the Wi-FiR function
    You can wirelessly connect this unit to Wi-Fi-compatible devices.
    •Connect a PC, an AV device, etc., to a wireless access point in advance.
    By using this unit’s wireless LAN communication function, you can perform the following operations.

    In addition to the above, location information acquired on the smartphone can 
    be written to images taken on the camera or camera menus can be set up on 
    the smartphone.
    •Caution:
    Be sure to pay special attention to the privacy, the likeness rights, etc. 
    of the subject when you use this function. Use at your own risk.

    ∫Use the camera as a wireless LAN device
    When using equipment or computer systems that require more reliable security than wireless 
    LAN devices, ensure that the appr opriate measures are taken for safety designs and defects 
    for the systems used. Panasonic will not take any  responsibility for any damage that arises 
    when using the camera for any purpos e other than as a wireless LAN device.
    ∫ Use of the Wi-Fi function of this camera is presumed to be in the following countries
    (DMC-SZ5P)
    The United States

    Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Peru

    There is the risk that the camera violates the  radiowave regulations if used in other countries, 
    and Panasonic takes no responsibility for any violations.
    ∫ There is the risk that data sent and received via radio waves may be intercepted
    Please note that there is the risk that data sent and received via radio waves may be 
    intercepted by a third party.
    ∫ Do not use the camera in areas with magnetic fields, static electricity or interference
    •
    Do not use the camera in areas with magnetic fields, static electricity or interference, such as near 
    microwave ovens. Radio waves may not reach the camera.
    •Using the camera near devices such as microwave ovens or cordless telephones that use the 
    2.4 GHz radio wave band may cause a decrease in performance in both devices.
    ∫ Do not connect to the wireless network you are not authorized to use
    When the camera utilizes its Wi-Fi function,  wireless networks will be searched automatically. 
    When this happens, wireless networks that  you are not authorized to use (SSID
    ¢) may be 
    displayed, however do not attempt to connect to  the network as it may be considered as 
    unauthorized access.
    ¢ SSID refers to the name that is used to identi fy a network over a wireless LAN connection. If the 
    SSID matches for both devices, transmission is possible.
    Note
    •The camera cannot be used to connect to a public wireless LAN connection.•A wireless access point is required to connected from home.•Use a IEEE802.11b, IEEE802.11g or IEEE802.11n compatible device when using a wireless access point.
    •When using a wireless access point, we strongly recommend that you set a encryption to maintain 
    information security.
    •The Wi-Fi transmitter may become warm when using the Wi-Fi function; however this is not a sign of 
    a malfunction.
    •When sending images with the Wi-Fi function, do not cover the Wi-Fi transmitter with your hand. The 
    camera may have difficulty sending images.

    Setting up the connection with [Wi-Fi Wizard]
    By a single operation, you can make all the settings required for using the Wi-Fi functions.
    •If you are using this unit for the first time following the purchase, the Wi-Fi setting screen is displayed 
    after the clock setting.  (P23)
    •You can also start the Wi-Fi wizard by selecting [Wi-Fi Wizard] in the [Wi-Fi Setup] menu.  (P125)
    Proceed with the setting by following the on-screen instructions.
    •Set in the following order.
    •Exit the menu after the setting.

    •Functions that have not been set up for a Wi-Fi connection can also be set by selecting the 
    respective function in the [Wi-Fi] menu.

    Smartphone operations
    •The Wi-Fi connection setup screen is displayed if you have not done the Wi-Fi setup yet. 
    Follow the on-screen instruction to configure.
    Preparation:
    Install the smartphone app “LUMIX LINK” on your smartphone.
    ∫About the smartphone application “LUMIX LINK”
    The “LUMIX LINK” is an application provided by  Panasonic that allows your smartphone to 
    perform the following operations of a Wi-Fi-compatible LUMIX.
    •
    Record/Play back pictures by controlling a Wi-Fi-compatible LUMIX on a smartphone screen.
    •Send images stored in a Wi-Fi-compatible LUMIX to other devices or WEB services.•Sending the location information acquired by the smartphone to this unit.
    •The service may not be able to be used properly depending on the type of smartphone being used.

    •The screen that notifies the camera is waiting to get connected with a smartphone is 
    displayed.
    •Confirm that the connection destination of the smartphone is set to this unit.
    2Start up “LUMIX LINK” on your smartphone.
    •When the connection is complete, images stored in this unit is displayed on the smartphone 
    screen.
