HEADSET COMPATIBILITY Description A keyset or ESL user can utilize a customer-provided headset in place of the handset. Like using Handsfree, us- ing the headset frees up the user’s hands for other work. However, headset operation also provides privacy not available from Handsfree. While in the headset mode, the keyset user can hear the following system signals muted in the headset: •Ringing •Paging •Background Music (BGM) The recommended headset is the Plantronic Supra Star Mate (Model MH0530-1)....

HOLD Description Hold lets an extension user put a call in a temporary waiting state. The caller on Hold hears silence or Music on Hold, not conversation in the extension user’s work area. While the call waits on Hold, the extension user may process other calls or use a system feature. Feature Operation To place a call to your Hotline partner: 1. Lift handset. To make the call handsfree, skip this step. 2. Press Hotline key. INTERCEPT OF CALLS Description The system may intercept (prevent) certain calls a user places.
