Figure 3-10 Hard Forward Control Option Procedure The Hard Forward Control Menu contains the following options: Groups - Each Hard Forward Group has a unique group index which is referenced by the Extensions record, a group name, and a pattern index that specifies the Hard Forward Pattern used by the group. The Groups option is used to create, delete, modify, view and print Hard Forward Groups. Patterns - Each Hard Forward Pattern has a unique pattern index which is referenced by the Hard Forward Group record, and a list of destination extensions and time index values. The Patterns option is used to create, delete, modify, view and print Hard Forward Patterns. Commands The Hard Forward Groups command line provides options to add or remove Hard Forward Group definitions, change an existing group definition, display group data for on screen viewing, or print a hardcopy of either the displayed group definition, a selected range of group definitions, or the entire file of group definitions. Expanded Display Press the TA B key or the Ctrl-V key combination while in the Hard Forward Pattern Index field to display the Hard Forward Pattern description used by the group. Press ESC to return to the Hard Forward Groups screen.

A change in this field means either another existing record or a new record is being entered. After the Hard Forward Group Index is entered, CFC searches the database for the corresponding record and displays it. If it does not exist in the database, CFC displays a prompt requesting the entry of a different group index.

Figure 3-17 Hard Forward Patterns Option Procedure Hard Forward Patterns Information Each Hard Forward Pattern record contains a unique index which identifies the group, an event list used when the extension is busy, an event list used when the extension does not answer, and an event list used for all calls. Each event list can have up to six events. Each event has a time index value that references an entry in the Time Parameters table, a destination extension, and an event action that is selected from one of the following: Set: forward the extension to the destination unless it is already forwarded by a user directly from the telephone.
