8-4 Replacing the Kicker Guides
1.  Remove the Kicker  Assembl y.  (see 8-2  page 60)
2. Remove 2off pozi head screws (M4x8) and remove the Kicker Mechanism Cover. 
3. Remove 2off hex head screws (M8x20), with flat and spring washers, 4off hex head screws (M8x85), with flat and spring washers, and remove the Mech\
anical

5. When replacing the Guides ensure that the Kicker Arm and inner faces of the
Guides are greased with silicone grease.
6. Reassemble in reverse order.
Note: When refitting the guides ensure that the locating tab of the lower guide aligns
with the indent of the upper guide. Refitting incorrectly may damage the
Guides.

8-5 Replacing the Kicker Spring and/or Stop Bumpers 1.  Remove the Kicker  Arm.  (see 8-4 steps 1-4  page 63)
2. Remove the Spring and the two Spring Ends. 
3. Remove 1off Whizz nut (M6) and remove the Spring Shaft. 
4. Remove the Whizz nut (M8) and remove the End Stop Bumper. 
5. Replace the End Stop Bumper. 
Note: When refitting the End Stop Bumper ensure that the cutaway section of the End Stop Bumper aligns with the plate inside...

6. Remove the Whizz nut (M8) and remove the Spring Stop Bumper from the
Mechanical Stop Bracket.
7. Replace the Spring Stop Bumper.
8. Reassemble in reverse order.
•When replacing the End Stop Bumper, Spring Stop Bumper, or Spring Shaft,
apply Loctite 242 to the screw threads when refitting the nuts.
•Apply a film of silicone grease to the face of the End Stop and Spring Stop
Bumpers.

Page 67 8-6 Replacing the Joystick Assembly
Note: The Joystick Assembly connecting cable is very short. Take care not to strain
the cable when removeing the Joystick Assembly.
1. Remove 4off security screw (M5x25), lift the Joystick assembly slightly and tilt the
assembly backwards.

2. Disconnect the connectors from the Start switches. 
3. Disconnect the Joystick assembly connector, and remove the Joystick assembly. 
4. Reassemble in reverse order. 
Note: When refitting the Joystick assembly ensure that the horizontal direction potentiometer is at the front and the vertical direction potentiometer i\

left-hand side.

8-7 Replacing the Joystick Potentiometers
1.  Remove the Joystick  Assembl y.  (see 8-6 page 67)
2. Remove 4off pozi head self tapping screws and remove the potentiometer bracket complete with potentiometer.
3. Remove the set screw using the hex wrench (diagonal 
1/16 inch) supplied, and
remove the group follower. (The diagram below shows the horizontal direction 
potentiometer, but the vertical direction potentiometer can be removed in the
same way).

8-8 Replacing the Start Switch 1.  Remove the Joystick  Ass y. (see 8-6  page 67)
2. Disconnect the connectors from the microswitch. 
3. Pull the long retaining arm away from the microswitch to disengage the lug and tilt the microswitch backwards.
3. To remove the Button assy from the Joystick Cover remove the retaining nut and adaptor washer and lift the Button assy out from the top.
4. Reassemble in reverse order....
