when the equipment is in it’s new position.
lEnsure that the Front Assy is seperated from the Monitor Assy before moving
    this equipment.
lThe overall height of this equipment is 2220mm. Take care of any overhead
obstructions. (e.g. Light Fittings, Electric Cables etc.)
    5. INSTALLATION

lWARNING • NEVER turn the power to the machine ON until installation
    has been completed.
    l ll l
lWARNING • In order to prevent possible electric shocks, be sure that the
machine is connected to the mains with a securely connected
    earthed plug.
    l ll l
lWARNING • So that customers are not injured , ensure that there is at
least 500mm separation between other machines or walls.
CAUTION • In order to avoid damage to the machine due to mis-operation,
ensure that the voltage of the mains supply is 230volts AC. 5-1 Notes on Installation
NOTE • If the location site of this machine has a polished floor it is
recommended that rubber pads are fitted under the level adjusters
to prevent the machine sliding on the floor.
    • In order to gain access to the rear of the Monitor, make sure that
the rear of the machine is separated from a wall or other machine
    by at least 500mm.

    							Page 38 5-5 Sensor Adjustment
It is essential that the sensors that detect the movement of the sword are
operating correctly before this game is played. Ensure that the following
instructions are completed before playing the game.
    5-5-1 Sensor Operation
•This game is fitted with two pairs of sensors (4 sensors: total).
•Each sensor unit consists of an infrared light emitting section and a light
    receiving section.
The infrared light from the emitting section is reflected by the reflective
material inside the Frame Assy. and returns to the light receiving section.
When the sword is placed within the sensor area, the sword blocks the
reflection of the infrared light and the resulting shadow is used to detect the
    position of the sword.
•If the infrared light does not return to the receiving section without the sword
being in the sensor area, the sword position cannot be detected correctly.
Be sure to adjust the sensors by following the procedures described on the
    following pages.

    5-5-2 Testing Sensor Sensitivity
The following describes the method of testing the sensitivity of the fo\
    ur sensors.
Be sure to adjust the sensors so that the test results show “OK” f\
    or all four
sensors. (see 5-5-3 page 40 for sensor adjustments.)
Note: If there is any obstruction within the sensor area, it will create a shadow and prevent correct sensitivity testing. Ensure that there are
no obstructions, e.g. arm, sword or any other object within the
sensor area when conducting this test.
    1. Open the Coin Door and set the Test Switch to the ON position. (see 6-1 page 45). The MENU screen is displayed.
    2. From the Menu screen, select “I/O TEST” and press the Enter switch. The I/O TEST screen is displayed.
    3. From the I/O Test screen, select “SENSOR LEVEL CHECK” and press the Enter switch. The SENSOR LEVEL CHECK screen is displayed.
Note: The two sensors nearest the projector, view from the front, are indicated as “SENSOR 1”, and the two sensors nearest the player are indicate\
    d as
    “SENSOR 2”.
    4. If any sensor shows “NG” instead of “OK” check the following\
before making adjustments to the sensors. (see 5-5-3 page 40 for sensor adjustment
    procedure.)
There is an obstacle within the sensor area - Remove the obstacle
The glass is dirty - Clean
The reflective material is scratched - Repair the reflective material
The connector is disconnected - Connect the connector. If “NG” is still displayed after the above checks have been made and the
sensors adjusted, the sensor is faulty and will require replacing.

    5-5-3 Adjusting the Sensors
Sensor adjustment is performed while power to the machine is ON. To
prevent electric shock, accident or injury, do not touch any parts other than those specified in the following sections.
The Frame assembly is an important part in the correct function of the sensors. Please check that each part of the Frame assembly is fitted correctly and that the
reflective material on the inside of the Frame assembly is clean and smo\
    oth (no
    cracks or bubbles).
Ensure that the glass sensor covers are clean, both inside and outside.
When “(I/O PCB ERROR”) is displayed on the screen, check the con\
nection of the USB cable first.
After “NAOMI” LOGO is displayed, the self-test is started.
If adjustment of the sensors is incorrect, the error message is displaye\
d on the screen. Perform the following procedures to adjust the sensors for corre\
    ct operation.
•When conducting the sensor adjustment, do not place any object, arm or s\
    word
    inside the sensor area.
•Infrared light deteriorates through glass. Please adjust the sensors wit\
    hout
    removing the glass covers.
    1. Remove the Control Panel. (see 7-6 page 72)
    2. Enter the Test Mode (see 6-2 page 46) and select I/O Test (6-2-3 page 50)
and then select Sensor Level Check (6-2-3-2 page 51). The graph screen is
    displayed.
