Attaching the Hand Strap
The hand strap can be attached to the back of the Workabout Pro 4 to provide a secure means for operators to 
carry the hand-held.
The hand strap is attached to t he back of unit using two Phillips head screws provided with this accessory.
• Use a Phillips screwdr iver to attach the strap to the two thre aded inserts on the ba ck of the Workabout 
Pro4, near the top of the unit.

The pistol grip is attached to the four threaded inserts on the back of the Wor kabout Pro4. Fou r Phillips head 
screws are provided with this accessory.
• Position the pistol grip so that it fits snugly over the back  of the unit and the holes in the pistol grip are 
aligned with the threaded inserts  on the back of the Workabout Pro4.
• Tighten the screws to a torque o f 3 lbs-in (3 kgf-cm) to secure the pistol grip in place.

The trigger back cover kit, model number WA9302, provides a spe cial back cover that incorporates a scanner 
interface board and a  switch. This kit enables a pistol grip to trigger the following e nd cap scanners for the 
Workabout Pro 4:

4. Lower the Flush Mount Pistol Grip into place over the back plate, aligning the screw inserts on the 
hand-held with the screw  holes in the pistol grip.
5. Insert and tighten the four screws provided with the pistol g rip.
