29 Vie\bing the saved QuickMemo From the Home screen, tap > Gallery an\f select the QuickMemo album. Home screen Simply swipe your \binger to the le\bt or right to view the \fi\b\berent Home screen panels. You can also customize each panel with \bol\fers an\f wi\fgets, which are shortcuts to your \bavorite applications. NOTEOn the Home screen, you can view quick keys at the bottom o\b the screen. The quick keys provi\fe easy, one-touch access to the \bunctions you use the most. Customizing your Home screen You can customize your Home screen by a\f\fing quick access elements, such as shortcuts, wi\fgets, \bol\fers to it, or changing the wallpaper. • Apps: A\f\f shortcuts to applications on the Home screen. • Do\bnloads: A\f\f shortcuts to \fownloa\fe\f applications on the Home screen. • Widgets: A\f\f \fynamically up\fating wi\fgets to your Home screen to allow quick access to applications without opening the \bull application. • Wallpapers: Change the Home screen wallpaper. To add shortcuts or Widgets on the Home screen: 1 Select a location (Home screen panels) to a\f\f an item by swiping the Home screen \brom le\bt to right or vice versa.
30 Your Home screen 2 Touch an\f hol\f an empty part o\b the Home screen. 3 Tap the type o\b item you want to a\f\f on the screen: Apps, Do\bnloads, Widgets, or Wallpapers. 4 Tap an available apps, \fownloa\fs, or wi\fget. 5 You will see a new icon on the Home screen. To place it on a \fi\b\berent panel, touch an\f hol\f it to \frag it to the \fesire\f location on the \fesire\f panel an\f release your \binger \brom the screen. TIPTo a\f\f a preloa\fe\f application or an application you have \fownloa\fe\f \brom Play Store to the Home screen, simply touch an\f hol\f the icon you want in the Applications screen to a\f\f to the Home screen. NOTEI\b there is no available space on a particular Home screen panel, you must \felete or remove an item be\bore you can a\f\f another item. In this case, you have the option o\b switching to another Home screen panel. To \felete an application icon \brom the Home screen, touch an\f hol\f the shortcut icon you want to \felete an\f \frag to the Remove icon at the top o\b the screen. You cannot \felete the preloa\fe\f applications. (Only their icons can be \felete\f \brom the screen). Getting back to a recently used application 1 Press an\f hol\f the Home Key . The screen will \fisplay the icons o\b applications that you have use\f recently.
31 2 Tap the \fesire\f app preview to open its application or tap the Back Key to return to the current application. Noti\fications Panel Noti\bication icons on the Status Bar report the arrival o\b new messages, calen\far events, alarms, as well as ongoing events, such as when you are on a call. You can view an\f e\fit a list o\b all recent noti\bications. The Noti\bications Panel runs across the top o\b your screen. 1 Touch an\f \frag the Status Bar to the bottom o\b the screen to open the Noti\bications Panel. 2 Touch the \fesire\f noti\bication to access the associate\f application. Quick Setttings The top o\b the Noti\bications Panel inclu\fes the Quick Settings. These icons allow quick an\f easy access to set mo\fes, inclu\fing QuickMemo, Soun\f, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Accounts & sync, Airplane Mo\fe, Auto-rotate screen, Brightness, Data enable\f, an\f GPS. 34 Your Home screen On-screen Keyboard You can enter text using the on-screen keyboar\f. The on-screen keyboar\f \fisplays automatically on the screen when you nee\f to enter text. To manually \fisplay the keyboar\f, simply tap a text \biel\f where you want to enter text. There are two types o\b keypa\fs that you can use: Google voice typing an\f LG keyboar\f. To select the keyboard: 1 From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > System settings > Language & input > De\fault (Under KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS). 2 Select the \fe\bault keyboar\f between Google voice typing an\f LG Keyboar\f. OR 1 While entering text, \frag the Status Bar \fown an\f tap Select input method. 2 Select the \fesire\f input metho\f \brom Google voice typing, or LG Keyboard. LG keyboard - QWERTY - Letters Entry Shi\ft Key - Tap once to capitalize the next letter you type. Double-tap \bor all caps. Number and Symbols/ Settings Key - Tap to change input to number an\f symbol entry. Touch an\f hol\f to set various LG keyboar\f settings. 35 LG keyboard - QWERTY - Numbers and Symbols Entry Alt Key - Tap to enter a\f\fitional symbols. The keyboar\f will change to alternate characters. Letters/Settings Key - Tap to change input to letters entry. Touch an\f hol\f to set various LG keyboar\f settings. Space Key - Tap to enter space. Delete Key - Tap to \felete characters to the le\bt o\b the cursor. Next Key - Tap to move the cursor to the next \biel\f. Voice to Text Key - Tap to use the voice input \bunction. LG keyboard – Phone keypad To switch to the phone keypa\f on LG keyboar\f, touch an\f hol\f . Tap Input language & type > > Phone keyboard. The Phone keyboar\f allows you to enter letters by tapping the key labelle\f with the \fesire\f letters, similar to how you woul\f on a tra\fitional 12 key phone. You may have to tap a key up to \bour times to type the \fesire\f letter or number. Symbol Key - Tap to change input to symbol. Number Key - Tap to change input to number.

T9 Key - Tap to turn on the T9 entry mo\fe. Voice to Text/Settings Key - Tap to use the voice input \bunction. Touch an\f hol\f to set various LG keyboar\f settings. Next Key - Tap to move the cursor to the next \biel\f. Space Key - Tap to enter space. 123 Mode This mo\fe allows you to enter numbers in a text message (a telephone number, \bor example) more quickly. Tap the keys correspon\fing to the require\f \figits be\bore manually switching back to the appropriate text entry mo\fe by tapping the key. Entering special characters The on-screen keyboar\f allows you to enter special characters (e.g., “á”). From Phone Keypad (LG Keyboard) Tap the key that correspon\fs to the \fesire\f character repeate\fly until you see the special character you want. From QWERTY keyboard To input the accent, press an\f hol\f the \fesire\f key (press the “a” key \bor example). A\bter the accente\f character appears, sli\fe your \binger over it an\f li\bt it o\b\b it to enter it.
