    Calibrate Scanner  Calibrate (button)Use this feature to compensate for offsets
    in the scanner imaging system (carriage
    head) for ADF and flatbed scans.
    You might need to calibrate the scanner if it
    is not capturing the correct sections of
    scanned documents.
    Fax T.30 TracePrint T.30 Report  Use this feature to print or configure the fax
    T.30 trace report. T.30 is the standard that
    specifies handshaking, protocols, and error
    correction between fax machines.

    modulations if several fax failures have
    occurred or if phone line conditions require it.

    DiagnosticThis feature can be used by a technician to

    Manual Sensor Test    Test the device sensors and switches for
    correct operation. Each sensor is displayed
    on the control-panel screen, along with its
    status. Manually trip each sensor and
    watch for it to change on the screen. Press
    the Stop button to abort the test.

    Component Test   Exercise individual parts independently to
    isolate noise, leaking, or other issues. To
    start the test, select one of the components.
    The test will run the number of times
    specified by the Repeat option. You might
    be prompted to remove parts from the
    device during the test. Press the  Stop
    button to abort the test.
    Print/Stop Test  Continuous value
    from 0 to 60,000
    milliseconds. The
    default is 0
    milliseconds.Isolate faults by stopping the device during
    the print cycle and observing where in the
    process the image degrades. To run the
    test, specify a stop time. The next job that
    is sent to the device will stop at the
    specified time in the process.
    Scanner Tests   This menu item is used by a service
    technician to diagnose potential problems
    with the device scanner.

    components of the control panel are
    functioning correctly.
