Adding Comments to an Image
Annotation Retention
Annotations from the B-Mode images are retained and carried 
over when switching to multi-image format or duplex mode.
The position of the comments is adjusted so that it is at the 
same relative position with respect to the display window in the 
new format as it was in the single image format.
NOTE:  Annotations may not be retained when the image is switched to 
M-Mode image...

Text Overlays
There are 2 layers of the text in annotations, which can be 
selected by toggling the F8 (Text1/Text2) key on the keyboard. 
Text1 is the default choice.
By using this function, users can perform a HIDE TEXT/SHOW 
TEXT, allowing the users to save or printing an image without 
clearing the typed text.

• Press Comment and type the comments where the cursor 
is currently located (the displays home position) or use the 
Trackball/Arrow keys to place the annotation cursor in the 
desired location before typing.
• Press Return to move to the next line.
NOTE:  Annotations wrap to the next line when they are within one 
character of the right margin if Word Wrapping is selected in the

Body Patterns
An additional way to annotate the image display is with body 
patterns.  Body patterns are a simple graphic of a portion of the 
anatomy that is frequently scanned. The body pattern and probe 
marker can serve as a reference for a patient and probe 
positioning when images are archived or scanned.
To activate body patterns, press the Body Pattern/Ellipse

selected body pattern is displayed on the monitor.
