    i-concier
    Using i-concier
    i-concier is a service that Machi-chara (a 
    character on the stand-by display) supports your 
    life like a butler or concierge. It stores your 
    information about area of residence, memos, 
    schedule, ToruCa, phonebook, etc. and offers you 
    information that suits content of memos or 
    schedules, your living area, preferences, and 
    interest at the right time. It can offer information 
    related to memos, schedules and ToDo saved in 
    the FOMA terminal, automatically update 
    schedules and ToruCa, etc., and automatically 
    add useful information such as shop hours to the 
    phonebook. (In Japanese only) The stored 
    schedules or images can be shared with group of 
    your friends, family, etc. You can print the stored 
    images easily.
    Ki-concier is a charged service requiring 
    subscription (Subscription is required 
    subscription of i-mode).
    KIf you do not subscribe Data Security Service, 
    when you subscribe i-concier, you subscribe 
    Data Security Service, too.
    KA packet communication fee is separately 
    required to receive information except for some 
    information.
    KA packet communication fee is separately 
    required to use detail information.
    KTo use i-concier overseas, International service 
    settings require to be set. For using 
    international roaming services, a packet 
    communication fee is charged for both 
    receiving and viewing detail information (it 
    differs from the charge in Japan).

    Wi-Fi
    You can make Wi-Fi connection in Access point mode (Base unit) or Client mode (Sub unit).KThe FOMA terminal is compatible with wireless LAN standards of IEEE802.11b, IEEE802.11g and IEEE802.11n (client mode only). Base unit and client device should be compatible with the same standard to connect.KNote that using Wi-Fi makes battery consumption faster.
    You can use the FOMA terminal as access point (Base unit) of Wi-Fi to enjoy a versus game etc. on Wi-Fi device (Sub unit).There are 2 modes : AP mode in which you can make on-line communication connecting to FOMA network and AP local mode which does not connect to FOMA network.KFor using AP mode with the terminal, you need to subscribe to Internet service provider (mopera U etc.).
    Access point settings
    Before making connection in access point mode, set security for preventing improper use. The same security method should be set between the FOMA terminal and Wi-Fi device.

    Using microSD card
    You can save still images, moving pictures, 
    melodies, etc. or backup data of phonebook, 
    schedule, etc. in microSD card.
    KThe F-02D supports commercial available 
    microSD card of up to 2 GB, and microSDHC 
    card of up to 32 GB (As of September, 2011) For 
    the latest information on the operation check,

    Infrared communication/iC transmission
    You can send/receive data to/from devices such as 
    FOMA terminal supporting infrared 
    communication function or iC transmission 
    function.
    PointKWhen sending/receiving all data items, the sender 
    and receiver need to determine a 4-digit 
    authentication password in advance. For infrared 
    communication, the receivers terminal must be 
    ready for communication first.
    KWhen sending/receiving all data items, the data 
    saved in the receiver (included phonebook entries, 
    notes, protected mail with secret attribute) is deleted, 
    and the newly received data is saved. However, for 
    some receiving terminals, when sending all infrared 
    data, image, moving picture, melody, document 
    (PDF data) and Decome-Template are added.
    Folder names or order of data may differ from the 
    ones of sender.

    Connecting to a PC
    You can connect FOMA terminal to a PC to 
    transfer WMA files or images in the microSD card. 
    Also, connecting to the Internet for data 
    communication is available.
    KFOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02 
    (optional) or FOMA USB Cable (optional) is 
    required.
    KTo perform data transfer using data 
    communication or DOCOMO keitai datalink, 
    install FOMA communication configuration 
    (driver) on a PC. For details, refer to Manual for 
    PC Connection.
